you wanna quote?

"I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy." (Jer. 13:14) "Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not, but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling."

"The Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy." (James 5:11)
"For his mercy endureth forever." (1 Chron. 16:34)
"The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all his works." (Ps. 145:9)
"God is love." (1 John 4:16)

----

PRO 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

ECC 1:18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

1 Cor.1:19: "For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and wil bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."

contradict much?

Just passing this on...hope it helps...

Hell is simply separation from God. Because He IS so loving and forgiving He let's people choose for themselves if they want to share eternity with Him. He doesn't force you. Hell is life without Him, be it now or in the future. Hell is the absence of His Light, Love and Friendship in a life...it is darkness. But if darkness is all one has known, then one wouldn't know the difference.

Jesus opened the Door into God's Presence symbolized in the tearing of the curtain to the Holy of Holies (in the Jewish Temple) when He died on the Cross. When people tell you you are going to hell they are being mean and ignorant...in a sense you are already in hell. It is not a punishment it is a situation in which the dimension of God is closed to you. There are other spiritual dimensions open, but the one to Him has only one door...Jesus. He said, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." Mt.7:13-14

Because He Loves, He makes a way. It's kind of like being offered a precious diamond, but if you don't know it's true value, you may throw it away. And then you find out too late it's wonderful powers and value. Hell, in eternity, is living in the full knowledge of what you threw away.

God is not an "egotistical man". He is the only True Life - everything else is created. God is all loving and all compassionate. The verses that you quote from in the Old Testament have a deeper meaning that you have not learned. When they speak of Amalek, and of God destroying Amalek, this is a figure of the spiritual Amalek, who is the enemy of God's people - and who is that? None other than the devil, who is a divider and a destroyer and has sought to deceive and kill mankind from the beginning. That is the enemy - the Amalek - upon whom God will have no mercy, since he refuses to ask for mercy or to be merciful to others. There is much in this Bible that one cannot take at the face value of the words. Don't allow these simple misperceptions to cloud your mind and your heart to the Truth that God is the only answer to everything our hearts and souls and minds and bodies need or want. The everlasting life is meant to be one of an indescribable bliss, if you can accept it - is that something that has no interest for you?

"living for myself like I am now" How is that working for you? Maybe the reason you hate the life you have is because there is something greater in store for you that is beyond our imaginations.

Is an artist considered an egotistical man because he signs his name to his painting? The creator of this life and the next sacrificed himself so that you might live--a supreme act of love and mercy.

As for the "contradictions." God's love is unconditional, but his promises are conditional. He told his people "If you keep my word..." Even in the fire and brimstone of the Old Testament, there are examples of "outsiders" or "foreigners" who welcomed the good news of God and were accepted into God's chosen people. And when Christ was crucified, the temple curtain was torn in half as the old law was replaced with a new chance for redemption.

By the way, I respect that you are at least asking the question. It's better to question than to just live apathetically. But I suspect that no amount of human answers would satisfy. My words mean little. You really want answers, ask God. Authentically, call out to him. The clouds probably won't part and you won't get struck by lightning, but you'll get your answer in a way that might surprise you. He loves you even in your bitterness. Keep asking.

We are eternal beings. Our spirit goes on whether we like it or not. Subconsciously all humans are aware of this.
We do, however, have a choice in where we'll spend eternity. This life is like a vapor. I believe we are not to judge eternity by this world. This world is corrupt and hateful. Remember, this world rejected the one true Christ.
Despite the wicked world we live in, God offers peace of mind and hope of salvation.
"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."John 4:14

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" 11Timothy 1:7.

Pray to Jesus, He will heal your spirit and mind.

You are taking a lot out of context. I will tell you that I myself have questioned Jerimiah because of the killing of the "sucklings". We weren't there. I can make a lot of suppositions. A couple of things came to mind though. I have been able to reconcile the "contradictions". As far as growing in wisdom, the more you know about God's truth, the saddened you are when people reject Him. I'm sad right now that you've rejected Christ.
On John 3:13-- Maybe you're taking this out of context. Jesus is trying to explain to Nicodemus spiritual matters. Nicodemus is not getting it. God's telling him that how can he expect to learn heavenly matters if he can't understand earthly matters. No one except God can go up and back from heaven. Hope this helps.

The reason everything looks like it is contradictory... is because you have taken everything completely out of context!!!! The bible is a very historical book and youve got to look out side your own little head and into history to understand many things written in it ( especialy war and how israel was treated by other nations )

Truly... You will have an eternity either way you die! Either you spend an eternity in heaven OR you live a continual torturous death... and are later thrown along with the devil into the never ending lake of burning sulphur.

Choose wisely.

The appeal of it is that depending on how we have lived our lives on this planet we will have a life in the hereafter acordingly.

My friend whether you like it or not believe me you are going to have an eternal life.

This life is nothing but a test or a house with two doors we enter from the front and exit out of the rear. But whats important is what we do in the house.

This life on earth in this physical incarnation is but a temporal illusion.

Our true lives are in the spiritual dimension where absolute perfection exists. There is no unhappiness or doubt or fear.

The God you read about in the Bible is a gross misinterpretation. God has no need. There is nothing that God cannot be, do or have. Therefore, God has no need of praise or worship or supplication from us. God is all loving and loves us just as we are. No saving required.

Personally, as much as I love my life, I am looking forward to returning to be home with God.

Eternal life, I'm guessing is the life after our physical life is over. Why do you hate your life? Life is precious look around you, or turn on the TV and realize how very fortunate you are, no doubt in ways we all take for granted. When things get bad for me, I remind myself that I'm not in prison or mentally or physically impaired, that my family is healthy, etc. Yes, it sounds cliche but its so true. Cheer up and good luck!

Man the life that you have is the result of the doing of your spirit. Learn the lesson so you don't have to go through the same thing over and over again.
