Well i dont know about this site, but in general when someone types in all capitals it seems as if their yelling or being rude. I know when I'm trying to put emphasis on something i put it caps, especially when angry. So maybe thats it.

In the world of internet chatting upper case letters are considered yelling. Just let everyone know you have trouble seeing and if they still say anything then they are jerks!

Well, it used for yelling or emphasizing single words. Just have your browser increase text size so that you can easily see it. If you have the whole thing capitalized, it is implying that you are yelling.

It's considered yelling. I don't know if it makes it easier for you, but try adjusting your font size upwards, or adjusting your contrast. It might help.

ALL CAPS IS CONSIDERED YELLING. BUT WITH YOUR LOW VISION I THINK WE CAN OVERLOOK THAT. MY DAUGHTER HAAS OPTIC NERVE ATROPHY AND IT IS SO MUCH EASIER FOR HER TO READ CAPS AS WELL.
