On a messaging program provided by my college, almost all offensive acronyms and words are censored out and I typed "wide-eyed" and it bleeped out "yed". What is the meaning of this acronym??? It is driving me crazyyyy!!! Please, if anyone can offer research sites or info??

Maybe a misspelling of Yid? Derogatory for Yiddish? A guess though

Yed means the hand and is the name of two stars in constellation Ophiuchus. There was one site that band the word flick (such as movie flick) in a site about movies.

Given the spelling skills of most people ... I would agree that someone in the word police would likely have misspelled Yiddish .... and subsequently the abbreviation and in their zeal to save and protect you .... and anyone who might see your note from being offended or otherwise psychologically damaged by reading the evil letters.
