As light as we take it dogs are very smart. Your dog doesn't sense your dog know's your pregnant and will go through the stages with you as if she was pregnant or he was the father. Dogs are not creepy their just like human beings but with 4 legs.

It would not surprise me at all. They can, in some cases, sense an oncoming epileptic seizure. This was discovered about 10 years ago that some dogs have this ability and now they select and train for it. I have heard from a credible journal that there are dogs that can sniff out colon cancer, just like dogs sniff out drugs. Kinda funny but they stick the ol' schnoz right in someone's rear and keep it there to identify them. They are definitely sensitive to chemicals and sensations that we aren't.
I don't remember my wife's dogs acting differently when she was pregnant, but when we brought my daughter home from the hospital the male jumped right up beside my wife on the couch and would not let people near. He was even reluctant to let me near and didn't trust me. They can get very protective.

Yes, I do believe pets like dogs and kittens can sense pregnancy. My cat started laying on my belly and hugging it with his paws! He'd lick my shirt like he was being nurturing. He would always get up with me and lay down with me while I slept. Always by my side. And still is after all this time. My cat means a lot to me. Corny, but he's like my best friend or even my child. I sometimes call him," my little fur kid ".

dogs can sense alot of things, pregnancy being one of them. My dog did the same thing when I got pregnant last year, she's usually always by my side anyway, but more so once I was pregnant, and any time I'd talk to anyone, she'd sit inbetween us and if they got to close (to hug me or something) she'd bark at them, lol.

Definitely! It's really cool, because when you think about it, they can sense fear and anger and malevolence too! Women's bodies change the exact moment that they become pregnant. That is, their hormones change that exact moment of conception. It's no wonder dogs can sense such a big change, since they're in tune with smells, hormones, etc. that we're not familiar with.

yup they should be able to sense the changes. Mostly cause they are hormonal. Your husband should be glad that your dog is so protective about you. Did you know that there are some dogs that can detect other ailments before tests can.
Congratulations on your next arrival

I wouldn't be surprised. My dogs can sense when I am sad, or tense or leaving on a trip. My mom had a dog when she was pregnant with me and the dog never left her side. Dogs are awesome!

Yes, most likely she does sense that you are pregnant. Just like animals can sense danger like a natural disaster or something of the sort, they have that extra sense that we don't.
