Someone sent me this and I think it's in a different language but i'm not sure which one. Does anyone know what it means?

I'm not sure I should reply that one... Salut is hello in French, Salute in Italian. The word you heard is probably scumpig or it could be scump (see the link below).

If I got that right it is not at all nice... Sorry.

Not French at all, but English slang...

I'd wish it was scampi which stand for crawfish in italian (even though I don't know how nice that could be...)

Well -salut can be an informal greeting like a "Wassup"- I'm not sure what the scumpi is slang perhaps or a nickname

Salut means hello in French. scumpi must be a slang name.
