Yes, because I have taught my son to be trustworthy. Most specifically, I have taught him logic, and answered all of his questions about everything that he could do that would be questionable. Do I think he will go out and do drugs? No. Do I think he will steal, or hurt people? No. Is he mischievous? Yes, but you can't have everything, right?

Yes, I have always trusted my children absolutely. I raised them with the knowledge that if I ever had to start distrusting them, it would only be because they'd given me reason to do so. I also taught them that trust is a nearly impossible thing to get back, once one person has lost faith in another. I believe they took this to heart, because they never gave me a reason not to trust them.
I'm not saying that they never did anything that they'd rather not tell me about. But if I made a rule about no kids in the house when I wasn't home, I could count on there either being no kids there when I was gone, or that at least they'd keep my rule in the forefront of their minds, and I would not come home to a mess and a crisis. They understood the reasons for my rules, and that goes along way to having them obey them.
My kids are grown now, but they're wonderful adults and I still trust them totally.

It isn't just a matter of trusting your children...a parent needs to protect and guide their children. There is a lot of evil out there in the world and it can have a very big influence on children. Usually if a parent doesn't trust a child there is a reason or the child isn't old enough for the responsibility yet.

Yes, I trust my children. My children are 24, 21 and 16. They have all made mistakes, but they trust me, and their mother enough to talk to us about their mistakes and to seek our aid. Trust is a two-way street. If you do not trust your children, they will not trust you. If you want your children to treat you well, you must treat your children well.

I don't trust anyone. I am more lenient with my children because they have never given me reason (yet) not to trust them but I remember what it was like to be young and am very cautious as to what I let them do.

To some degree.
Trust is earned so they have it until they blow it, then they have to work very hard to earn it back. Trust is also different from age to age, I don't trust my 7 year old to make smart decisions when it comes to food/diet choices but my 12 year old is responsible for making his own lunch and his own smart decisions.
