Not true. Only crimes of moral turpitude are ineligibilities. Drinking near a store is just a crime of bad taste and silliness.

Yes, as the other user said, breaks the law affects, specially " substance abuse " instances, but as was not a DWI, is not really a big issue, but could affect, as any immigration matter, depends on the officer. I was connected to that area and everything depends on the mood of the paperwork officer mostly.
