Forget religion.

Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Christ is the tree of life.

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Why do so many make the false claim? Because humans are greedy and want to get pleasure for nothing. If you can make it to heaven and someone knows the easy way then why not go for it? That is how they get you or why they lie.

You want to be happy eternally so do this but that shouldn't be your end goal just to get to heaven crushing people on the way. Getting to heaven is a frame of thinking and not an actions. You can't teach someone how to think. No religion can get you to heaven it depends on you.

Heaven is for people whom God knows wont rebel and bring sin back into this world. You have to change you frame of mind to make it.

when multiple religions contradict each other, they are not all accurate.

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Jesus wasn't saying this so he could boast about how Christians are better than other people or something. The reason he said this is because we have sin, and if we want to be on the right track with God, we need to find a way to get rid of it. How do we? We get rid of our evilness by accepting the simple gift God gave us, Jesus.

Here is the thing I think most people don't understand:
If there are other ways to God, then Jesus wouldn't have had to die on a cross. If he didn't have to die on a cross, he wouldn't have.

We either needed Jesus to die for our sins or we didn't. Believing that Jesus needed to die for some people but not others is illogical.

They believe they are true.
This money thing doesn't hold alot of water in my opinion, because most ministers are dirt poor. And most of those with evangelistic fervor in most religions are the same. Buddhist monks? Dirt poor, yet they believe they have the true way to...well, nirvana, anyway.
Those guys w/ the flowers? Yeah, I guarantee they're living about 16 guys crammed into a room somewhere.

Churches ask for money? Yeah, they do. Well, mine doesn't, and many don't, but many do. But it has to do with supporting something you believe in, the same reason NPR asks for your money. You're getting benefit from it, you believe in it, so put your money where you're benefitting.

Now, some go a bit far with this, no doubt.
And I remember televangelists when I'm writing this, but really folks, are we going to judge all of christianity by televangelists? Heck, I don't judge evangelicals by televangelists!

The answer, to repeat, is that they really believe they are the true way to heaven, or whatever sort of truth they happen to believe in. Almost always (there are exceptions, like scientology, but they're uncommon, methinks.)

The true way to Heaven is accepting Jesus as your savior. Being saved by the Grace of God. Religion does not take you to heaven. Many people have religion, but don"t have God.

There are many counterfeits out there. The only way is through Jesus Christ. Jesus says He is the way. Jesus is the only way.

Your question is too broad because it bunches up religions. Buddhist don't have a way. JW's don't believe in heaven or hell (basically they rewrote the Bible). Muslim Quran takes bits and pieces of the Bible and adds many things that are contrary to Bible teaching about 600 years after Christ died and then arose, etc..

Why because their is only one way to enter the kingdom, but they got it twisted just because they believe in Christ. If you belong to the Messiah than you would do as he said you should do. Only the things that was told to us to enter to salvation is keeping the laws. And they all have done away with them all. Repent and sin no more, also 1Jo.3:4 say sin is the breaking of the law. So how can you sin if theirs no law? He said that they would preach a different Messiah and they have. But their is a religion for all just find one that lets you be and don't worry cause J.C did it all for you.

Maybe they are, for their congregation. Remember, even Jesus said He was the Way, yet He also told the Jews of that time that they could not understand Him because they were not of His flock.

So I'd say that for those people, in that religion, it is the true way ... who says there's only one way?

They have a cause to further...

I have yet to come across another religion (other than Christianity) where their god pursues you for a relationship.

There isn't one out there.

Religion is man's way to reach God...

Relationship is God's way of reaching us through Jesus Christ..

John 14:6 Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."

Grace to you and God Bless!

The same reason why Pepsi insists that their soda tastes better than Coca Cola's.

Every religion wants to win "souls" over.

Just as advertisers of any product will tell you it is the best product. It works in the same way.
Shampoos, cigarettes, cars, religion.. all follow the same pattern.
