Once they become president they change their religion. For example, Bill Clinton was a Catholic he changed to Methodist. The news announced for security reasons. If there was a Mormon president, he would have changed in oval office the first day. Probably Thomas Jefferson was the first Mormon president who changed to unaffiliated sect.

No. However, the governor of Massachussets, Mitt Romney, is a likely Republican candidate for president in 2008 and he's Mormon. In the past, Orrin Hatch who is Mormon has also run as a Republican although he failed to secure the party's nomination.
