I don't know if anyone of you seen the movie : The Origin of Aids.. from CBC..

It resorted that HIV originated from the oral polio vaccine POV that was experimented in the belgian Congo . The Polio vacine was presampled from the chimpanzee and contained an herpes virus called SIV which is harmless to monkeys but fatal to human..

This POV vaccine was administrated to over one million people in the belgian congo which is the exact EPICENTER of the aids epidemic in Afrika..

actually herpes from monkeys have always been a problem because originally presamples were taken from India's monkey and
scientists would die experimenting..

nthny_dms, I doubt so , I think mostly a human error, they took the kidneys of an SIV infected monkey..

what is amazing is that there were more death from of aids than what polio would have caused.. ( if people would have got ride of cats and dogs, it would have eliminated polio)

here in North america some region were vaccinated against hepatis B, this would explain why homosexual were among the first to be exposed to the virus..madame another vaccine..

i would assume that aids was more prevalent in Africa, because of the lack of education (not as informed) and the lack of protection, the higher poverty rate, and lack of medical resources available.

Culture. In Africa, it is common place to have two long term partners. So if one person gets AIDS then their parten gets it and that partner passes it to their other partner and so on and so on. I read this in an article if you were wondering. Also since they are long term parters they are less likely to use protection.
