My friend and I are debating over whether or not a guy will consider you as "girlfriend material" if you sleep with him on the first date. She says it's OK because she and her now-husband did this.
I say it's best to wait until at least the third date...I think I should actually like the guy & know him a little! And as cheezy as it sounds, I'd like to be more than a conquest!
So, what do you think?? Where is the line between slutty & prudish??

Waiting is the best answer here. Having a sexual relationship is one of the most personal things that a person does in their lives. There is no way you can know a partner on the first date never mind the second. A relationship has to evolve into that kind of commitment and desire not just one of lust and physical satisfaction. When a relationship is ready, matured to the point where the both of you are committed to each other. This means that the relationship has evolved enough to not feel so awkward or embarrassed with the loving act but instead wanting to share a special and very personal part of you with them and vice versa. Then and only then it is time you might want to.

i may date a girl, but never get more serious. she'll never be a real girlfriend. plus, if she does sleep on the first time the guys won. she'll get jerked around until she gets so fed up and makes her self look like a loon. i have a funny feeling that your friend and husband may have known about one another or at least been friends. funny thing is anything past the first night isn't slutty.

I like your three date or so rule... if you sleep with a guy on the first date, most guys will just consider you a piece of ***... another number to dial when they need a piece... plus, if you make a guy wait... make him work for it a little... he'll probably appreciate more
