It really doesn’t matter if you support the big Bang theory or not, just like evolution, maybe those theory’s are true, maybe not, I really don’t know. Personally I don’t think either the big bang or evolutions are what really happened, but what I think really doesn’t matter.

Did the big Bang happen or not? Either way God created all that exists, the heavens and the earth, and all on it. Maybe the big bang really happened, if so what was the small particle that expanded into all this, where it came from. The laws of physics say “mater cannot be created or destroyed”, and you say we came from nowhere? That doesn’t hold up very well, but accepting the fact that God created the universe is outside the laws of physics, which is where you must be to cause any mater to come into existence, even one particle.
About evolution, the bible does not mention this, not because it did not happen, but because it does not affect out salvation. I personally do not believe the theory of evolution, but that’s because I have studied it myself and it doesn’t hold up. But I could be wrong, maybe it is what happened. But why does it matter, it’s a THERY, (not a proven fact), Darwin did not even fully believe this theory.

I am just tired of hearing people at my church (and other Christians) arguing with atheists about these two topics, it doesn’t even matter. Where is it in the bible that specifically says god did not make animals that can change over time, or specifically how he created the universe, it doesn’t, because it doesn’t matter to our salvation, which is what the bible is about.

Don’t argue what you don’t know, especially if it is something that doesn`t matter. What I do know is that god created everything and we must accept Christ and follow him in order to have eternal life (with god, not in hell) these are my thoughts on two controversial topics, please share yours by adding comments.

Bible IS meant to be believed word for word, but dose not discuss some topics which have nothing to do with its message. I am just tired of hearing the arguments about this stuf.

I honestly don't think evolution goes against the Bible. Sure, it might go hand in hand with the Bible, but the Bible is not meant to be believed word for word (in my opinion). I'm pretty sure it's the morals behind the stories in the Bible that are important.
It's stupid that the evolution vs. creation debate has reached such a height. It's especially bad in schools. Personally, I think they should teach everything in schools, you know? The theory of creation, the theory of evolution...even the theory that we all come from space. Of course the youth of today believe firmly in the Big Bang and evolution and Lerman's Bubble Model...most of them weren't taught anything else! That makes for a horribly narrow minded generation.
The problem with people is that they are so stuck in their ways that they can't see the merit of other ideas, and can't see how those ideas just might intermingle. Maybe the seven days of creation really happened over millions and millions of years, or maybe God put life on earth and just sort of let it go. No one can really know, right?
And finally, I'm sick of how everyone says that science is the antithesis of religion. It's not. Sure, we keep finding explanations for everything we used to attribute to God, but in the end, there are some things we will NEVER be able to explain. As you said, that one little point of matter had to come from somewhere. Why not God?
And on a final note, I also have trouble with the Big Bang theory. Did you know that there's only a few pieces of completely inconsequential evidence for it? First, they say that there's the same ratio of helium to hydrogen that there might have been at the formation of the universe. So? Secondly, the temperature of space is not absolute zero, which most likely means that the universe is moving. While a huge explosion billions of years ago might attribute for that, it is most certainly not the only possible explanation. The only real convincing bit of evidence is the red shift. As things get further away, they take on a slightly reddish hue (do to wavelengths of visible light and such). Extremely sensitive instruments have shown that the universe has a red tint, which means everything is moving further away. Still, the expansion of the universe may very well be caused by something other than a big bang.
As I said, people really shouldn't be taught this stuff as truth when it's an unsturdy theory at best.
Sorry, I know this was a little scatterbrained. I just really think that the debate is stupid.

DARWIN SAYS HIS TEORY IS NO MORE WITH HIS OWN WORDS!!!
In Asia, Africa and Australia lives a remarkable creature the archerfish that shoots down its prey from the air above it with a burst of water. It uses its tongue and the top of its mouth to form a groove simiilar to a gun barrel. Then by compressing its gills it squirts water up to six feet with deadly accuracy -- in spite of the distortion caused by seeing the target from below the surface of water.
Evolutionists still don't know how the archerfish got its amazing abilities. They can only wonder. Viewid through the distortion of evolution they cannot explain how the archerfish gradually learned to not aim where its eyes see but to aim instead at a different spot where the target actually is.
Without its binocular vision it couldnot see the object with such precision and without the special shape of the upper mouth and a specialized tongue it could not make the groove it needs to shoot lthe concentrated jet of water. Many factors have to appear together and be perfectly formed for this shooting mechanism to work. This of course goes totally against Charles Darwin's evolutionary theory which is based on a gradual step by step process.
Darwin wrote in (The Origin of Species)-- "If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous successive slight modifications my theory would absolutely break down"(1859, p. 171).
The archerfish offers precisely such an example since several complex systems must all appear at the same time perfectly and not gradually formed--binocular vision,a specialized mouth and tongue, specialized gills to compress and expel water and an aiming system based in the brain and not in the eyes. If any of these parts is missing the mechanism will not hit the target and no survival advantage is created.
When you get down to the facts the archerfish with one squirt of its gills shoots down Charles Darwin's entire theory of evolution and that by Darwin's own admission!!!
So evolution doesn't have the answer to this mystery. But the Bible does. Genesis 1:20-21 says that God created all the creatures that live in the water. He created a great variety of perfectly formed fish including the archerfish with all its special features such as binocular vision other specialized organs and a built in ability to compenste for the distortion of the water.

The big bang theory is plausible, YHVH may have snapped his fingers and caused it to happen. What bothers me, is that most people argue over how old the earth is. What we should be discussing is how old this particular earth age is, and what is happening to bring us into the next one.
I happen to believe most Christians are ignorant of the fact that science and religion DO match up. If you read the original Hebrew. There was an earth age before this one, it is well documented in the Hebrew scriptures. This earth is millions of years old, and any Christian who argues that is simply ignorant of the facts.

God said it and BANG it happened...God created this Earth and everything here. There's your big bang theory.
[It's the law of conservation of mass(not the law of physics) that says matter can't be created or destroyed in a chemical change. And there's something in the 2nd law of thermodynamics that says matter doesn't evolve into something else, it breaks down into something else.]

Yes, Big Bang happend. And Yes, God created us. How about, Yes, God created us via the Big Bang. According to the Qur'an, "Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? (The Noble Quran, 21:30)"

If it doesn't really matter, why do you bother asking? You don't seem very open minded either, basically you're saying, "they might be right, but they aren't." And as to your defense saying "they're just theories..."
So is gravity.
Really. Gravity isn't even a fact, it's a theory. That's how close to being fact something has to be to being called a theory in science.

The Bible is clear in that God created this world and everything in it including the first humans. God created them male and female and said that it was good. So how could millions of years of monkeys slowly evolving through an endless death cycle to eventually morph into humans possibly be called good. Adam and Eve had the option of living an awesome eternal life in full fellowship with God, but they chose to disobey God through the deception of the serpent and ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil of which God said if you eat of that tree you shall surely die. And they did surely die. First they died a spiritual death and sinned against God and therefore were cursed of which we are also cursed in a broken fellowship with God (restoration through Jesus alone) and then they eventually succumbed to a physical in which this cycle continues to this very day.

I think what matters to you is God. I would love to see the face of God and know he is real. If he can make himself appear to Thomas like he did in the Bible certainly he will for me to. Until then its Big Bang and evolution all the way for me.

the theory of evolution and the big bang have been proven scientificially. In a scientific context theory means something proven beyond a reasonable doubt and generally accepted as fact. I dont see how you would believe in the theory of plate tectonics and other theories without believing in evolution as they have similar amounts of evidence....
