Dan Brown has admitted himself that his book is a novel, and therefore it is fiction. He took an enthralling story line (the life of the Savior of the world) and added his own details to make an interesting story.

good grief. Dan brown took the priory of scion part from 3 guys that have already admitted that it was a hoax. Anyone who gives any credence to the davinci code probably believes in the Blair witch project too.
As for it being more factual than the bible. That's not possible since it still uses the bible as it's foundation. Duh
The false gospels have been discredited over and over. Please go look for UFOs or big foot or something. I am amazed that people who refuse to believe the bible even with all the evidence which supports it, somehow say "but these might be real". They want the gnostic gospels to be true so they just won't listen to the evidence against them. Meanwhile they can't stand the idea of the true gospels, so they won't even read them. Can you say hypocrisy

From what I have read, there are additional gospels out there that do point to some of the ideas brought up in the Da Vinci code.
However, the tenants of Opus Dei and some of the secret society storyline are very exaggerated.

Some, yes. The things about Constantine are totally true, he was a lifelong pagan until his deathbed where he converted to catholicism. Do some web research and you'll find out a loooooooooooooooot of interesting information.

yes but the church fears it because that would show that they are the biggest fraud in history.People dont believe in it because they are closed minded and because it goes againt there implanted beliefs. What you do noty understrand you fear and what you fear you tend to hate.Just because the bible tells you something doesnt mean that its true i mean its a book a book written by man and most importantly an incomplete book.Christians tend to back all of theire statement with the bible thats why they fear what the DaVinci Code states.

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Not remotely. If there was a decendant of Jesus (which I don't believe), that there would only be one decendant is only possible if the entire family was so inbred... it is inconceivable (why do you keep using that word?) Not bloody likely

Why would you call them facts if you question them?
I don't know.
The same question can be asked if what is in the bible is true.
Either you belive them to be true or you don't.
Noone truly knows.
