Really, is there some evidence showing that going to church and giving money you can't afford and worshiping someone you have never seen makes any difference to someones life?

Yes there is evidence. Before I accepted Jesus as my saviour, i was depressed, lonely, and didn't care for life at all. But i picked up the bible one day and ask Him to reveal himself to me and He renewed me or I was "born again". I have peace now because I have a hope that when i die i will live eternally and will be with Him. But for someone who doesn't believe, what hope does that person have when going through life's trials and when they die, how troublesome will be their regret if they find out that God does exist. If God does not exist, then i die and that's the end, but if God does exist than I'll be eternlly happy and in peace--so its a win win situation for a believer but not so for an unbeliever.
There have been people who were miraculously healed from diseases, people who were once gay are not anymore and are living happy, fulflling lives, others who were on drugs and are free, and many more countless testimonies--just go to a church and ask for yourself.

Going to church and giving money without truly loving God and doing it from the kindness of your heart will not do anything for you. You have to want to love God and your neighbor, and once you do let God work through you, He will "work all things for good" thus giving you peace, joy, and a real difference to your life.

doing all of that does nothing if your motive is wrong. going to church wont do anything if dont take in what the pastor is saying. giving money is pointless unless you understand that it is a tithe to the Lord. and worshipping someone you've never seen is just like worshipping a rock unless u love Him and have read that God sent His only son to die for all humanity. the person that makes the decision of who makes a difference is yourself. once you have made that commitment and continue to follow Him then the Lord will do the rest.

God Bless

He changed my life that was headed for destruction- I was getting into darker things, having more and more bad things happen to me. I should have been killed many times. 6 car accidents later (none my fault), almost being blood poisoned to death, electrocuted and many other things... I hated life and wanted to die...When a family member killed himself I finally realized that I needed someone higher than myself and anything that I thought was helping me up until that point. My way of doing things wasn't working anymore... alcohol didn't make me happy... I accepted Jesus at 26 after 15 years of studying new age, the occult, and anything that I thought would bring me happiness. Things slowly began to change for the better.. I still have problems but he's promised 'never will I leave you nor forsake you' and he hasn't in almost 20 years. There is a scripture that says when you walk through the fire you won't get burned... troubles come... God delivers you.. it builds faith and I know I have someone who sticks closer to me than a brother... Jesus.. the money is a part where you sacrifice and you will see how God in turn blesses you with more than you gave.. You can't see air but you still take for granted that it's there.... going to church is more for building up your faith and being with like-minded people than it is trying to dictate what you should do.. God will never force you to do anything... He will guide you by His Holy Spirit but ultimately every choice that you make will be 100% yours. The best piece of advice that I can give you is to search.. Jesus says if you seek me... you will find me... if you seek me with all of your heart. God bless you as you look for truth. Email me if you ever want to talk more about this :)

God has been a leader to me for the better. He's taught me something that someone here on Earth couldn't. That the tough part about life is living, and the easy part is understanding that death is nor bad for the dead, or for the living. When I give offerings, even if it's something that I know I can't, I know that if I don't, someone else won't take my spot.

No, and I don't believe God exists. All the same, if there is powerful enugh to give someone hope, and make them believe there is some faith lefta always, and can join together hundreds of persons singing a same song, and being sorry foor their sins....i'd rather say he has made much for the whole world! Not only for anyone's life!

It doesn't matter what proof you get, you have to just step out in faith and believe in Jesus.

As for my life, in the past two years, of all the things that i have done that required money (anywhere from the mundane like eating out to the awesome like vacations and camps and concerts), about 80% of them have been payed for by other people at no cost to me, because of God. Also, I just recently got a 2000 dollar guitar for free because of my tithing and giving of my time to Him.

You people drain my soul.

I keep looking for something uplifting or someone that wants to ask questions about what the Bible is telling us...but no...grip, complain...bla bla bla

and I can not figure out why atheists come here just to attack others spirituality.

Oh, never mind, I DO understand that one but I will let it go.

Isn't there somewhere Bible believing Christians can go without being attacked for their beliefs?

This is why the Bible said to FELLOWSHIP with believers. The will uplift your soul. :)

God Bless those who believe in Him
Keep Looking UP !!!!

Faith. Sometimes it makes all the difference. I don't about this god business but if you are going to give money give it to a good charity like me. :) Saying that, I am going to get in line to get a billion dollars from Mr. Buffett (I might even pray to him).

MY mother was diagnosed with cancer and its was aggressive cancer, she went to there doctors who each told her the same thing she had 6 months to a year to live,,She the started searching for God and she found him, at a healing service god healed my mother of cancer she went on to live 21 years,, the doctors were all shocked, and yes it was God, Not any doctor no one, it was a very aggressive cancer and spreading rapid. A pastor prayer for her she fall in the spirit and she said she felt like a river , water flowing throughout her body, she knew then God was healing her.
So yes I know that I know God exists, you need to seek him, not him appearing to you.
