I have heard people can get worms!?! I dont think I believe this... so has anyone actually known someone with worms or heard of anyone haveing them? sorry for the nasty question!!

when i was little my stomach and intestines got invested with worms and other nasty single celled organisms.
my stomach always hurt and it was always bloated.
i was addicted to sweets
so the doctor gave me medicine and i took it for like 3 weeks and i pooped all the animals out.

Worms is quite common in many poor countries with high populations such as many nations in Africa and Asia. Worms is normally passed from a pet or some sort of animal. It normally doesn't occur out of the blue. Also keep in mind that there are many kinds of worms that effect the body in very different ways. Such as the heart worm or the tapeworm. No apology is needed. The question is only as good as the answer.

It is not a nasty question and yes people can get worms. Back in the 50's it was common for children to get them because of the animals and being outside all the time. I understand they can be very unplesant as well as itch alot. The doctor can take care of it with a simple perscription that kills the worms. Check out webmd.com I am sure you can find info on this.

People can and do get worms the same as cats and dogs. Small children get worms from eating dirt where animals have defficated. The same can happen from not washing hands after working in the soil. Intestinal parasites that people get are tape worms, round worms and pin worms.

Sorry to have to tell you this, but the answer is yes.
Not earthworms - put there are several types of parasites that are related to worms. Most of these are tropical diseases.
The southern US had severe problems with hookworm long ago. Pin worms were fairly common too until the toilet and handwashing became popular (you DO wash your hands, don't you?).
Do an online search - but it can gross you out big time!!

Ya.I got worms before, both ring worms and real worms. I remebered drinking a product Zentel to clear my stomach worms. That very night, something that looks like a worm in pupa drop off butt hole.ring worms are the red circle spot. I had them oncwe on my thighs.

People can get a lot of different types of worms - Ringworm, tapeworm. I havnt actually known anybody with worms

I knew some kids who had pinworms. It is from playing in contaminated dirt and not washing your hands. I also knew someone who had a tapeworm, which can come from eating improperly cooked pork. I'm not sure of all the different types of worms and how you can get them, but Yes...people can get worms. I hope you don't have them. :)

Yes, people can get worms. Some live in internal organs, some live closer to surface skin.

Well I dont think you need anyone else to tell you the answer is yes, but if you want to really unsettle your stomach, research the guinea worm - mostly found in Africa.
