I love trains, I am an advocate of passenger operations and work to reopen a station to train service in my country. Interested particularly in high speed trains (TGV, ICE, AVE, etc), Amtrak trains, diesel railcars and railbuses.

I find trains interesting and like them a lot, however i like watching them and feeling them is more fun to me then riding on one, unless you get a unique chance to ride a'round a rural train yard in the cab of a mighty SD40! My personal faviorite is steam locomotives, espcially later-american locos, like to K-4 Pacific, and the "hudson" class. However if i had to pick a more modern loco, i would pike the HUGE DD40-X (humongous) I don't figure how UP can afford to pay for those gas- guzzlers!

I belong to a club (see below) with about 30+ members that all love trains, and there are hundreds of clubs just like all over the USA.

Sure... There's nothing that can match the awesome power they have.
Frankly, I don't see why there is a stigma attached to people that like trains or why its any different than liking cars, motorcycles, or anything else.

I love Trains they way they look and the amount of weight they pull its amazing. Trains are one of mankinds greatest inventions!

i learned to love trains on the long island railroad, and now i operate trolleys at the seashore trolley museum in maine.

i don't collect pictures of them, but I enjoy the looks of those old steam engines with the huge bumper and the huge wide mouth chimneys.
