I met people in college who had never dated or been kissed. Some of them were just very picky about what they wanted in a guy/girl, while some just didn't really care about having one. If you're 17 you'll be going to college soon and a whole new world of guys will show up. Be careful not to jump headlong into a relationship though, they look for naive people who may fall for sweet talking. Go on lots of casual dates to find what you want, no need to rush it.

I didn't date until just before I turned 17...that lasted a month (or less) and I didn't date again until after I was 17. I didn't even start to like guys until I was 15, but even then wasn't really interested in boyfriends or dating. Don't worry, there's no race to get a boyfriend (or shouldn't be). Be yourself, and like who you are...if you want to date do so, if not then don't...there's also no reason why you can't ask out a guy you like, if he doesn't ask you first.

I was not allowed to date when I was still in school. When I turned 18 graduated from school, had my own job, paid for my own car, then did I realize I was old enogh to handle pressures of having a boyfriend.

It's not a race...
Anyway, if it makes you suffer, look into yourself and figure out why it didn't happen yet. Discuss the matter with people you trust (friends, family) and also with guys you know, to understand a little bit more about males psychology.
