Before asking questions about it?If a person from Mexico(since this is the biggest problem) needs to support his childrens and the only way for that is to find job in US,how can he do that without breaking the law?

very easy to say come legally when you have program ONLY for rich to to so.For an average person to immigrate to US takes 10-15 years.I wonder why there is so many jobs in US for mexicans when you don't want them.Do you enjoy your low prices? Are you willing to pay more?

By the way I am not a supporter of criminals crossing the border.I just think you going yo use this people labor, don't blame them for comming without status when you have none to give.Give them a workers program, that's all they want or TAKE THEIR JOBS AND SHUT UP!

I am not saying that is your responsibility to do so.Mexicans are not or any other nation, what is your responsibility is to make sure that there is no employment for undocumented people. If that happens then your own business will scream for workers program. And another thing - I gave Mexico just as an example.I am from EU pass thru the same route and know very well that mexicans are not your only problem

Yes,I am self educated because I pass thru the same way over 10 years ago.I came from EU for different reasons but employment but I passed with mexicans the border. Is sooooooooo easy to sit in US with ALL the rights, jobs available to you.And is so hard to apply for so call "visa",that they will deny anyway and costs $40.00 in most places.Money that people believe or not DON'T HAVE!Think out the box!Third world means third world.I have gone days without food as a child and BOTH my parens was working.Do I have to apologize that I cross without papers - NO.You do what you have to do!If there was a legal way - believe me that will be the way for most of your "send home" people

The "paperwork" can take years to become a citizen, but there are many visas a person can enter this country with legally and most can remain here if they follow the laws and check in with the INS when they get their notices. There are many Mexicans here legally with work visas, it's just easier to jump the border because our politically correct government won't do anything to stop them.

Illegal workers are doing jobs for very low wages. This encourages companies to drive down the living wage. Americans are being forced to work for a bare minimum or lose the job to illegals that will work for $2-$3 an hour. Illegals don't get health insurance so they go to our emergency rooms and the tax payers foot the bills. Most illegals are not paying taxes to the country they are working in (The U.S)

It's not the American workers responsibility to support illegal immigrants. If Mexicans can protest in the streets of this country waving Mexican flags, why can't they protest the unjust living wages in their own country?

It is an individual responsibility to assess your financial situation and determine whether you can "afford" to have a child!!! To have a child and "expect and demand" that others take care of you (be it assistance programs or the generosity of another country) is the most irresponsible parent!! If people don't like the policies, wages, conditions, etc of their native country, they need to collectively change their policies at home. Immigration is a priviledge not a right!! Try going to another country and even attempt to "demand" as a "human right" the recent rhetoric that was chanted during our recent "immigration" rallies. They would laugh at you and tell you to go home!! How many Americans can truly "afford" to care for their families. I'm a member of the "working poor" and I've had enough. My grandmother "legally" left Ireland during the famines, she had no money, but still entered legally, paid her dues and reeped her "earned" rewards. It's not that they don't have jobs in Mexico, it's just more lucrative to earn dollars and then exchange into pesos! I think you need to educate yourself a little more responsibly before you make such ridiculous statements. Legal Americans come first in America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats funny, I live here and found ways to support my childrens. I didn't break any laws doing it either.
There are jobs in Mexico. Isn't Mexico one of the richer countries on the planet? the problem is, is that there is a corrupt government there.
Why can't the Mexicans (because this is the biggest problem) stand up and make their government right? If you folks were willing to do that, heck, I might even come down and help you. But until you grow some balls and keep your problems on your side of the fence, you get no sympathy from me.

It is called a visa. They have tons of different kinds. Even being a member of a terrorist organization doesn't exclude you from getting one( really, I am not kidding).
How about instead of being Mexico's welfare state, Mexico agrees to help us with sending their illegals over( and genuinely tries to do so). And the U.S can help Mexico improve.Do you realize what a resource rich country Mexico is? Oil, gold, silver, etc. Not to mention tourism dollars. However, the U.S remains Mexico's second largest source of income by way of illegal immigration. The Aztecs were wealthy beyond belief, and no, their land did not include parts of the U.S. Those tribes were Hopi, Navajo, Pueblo, etc. There was no Mexico until the Spanish came and consolidated the land acquired from pre-Mexico Aztecs(and other surrounding pre-Mexican tribes) with land taken from the aforementioned tribes of what is now America. What changed? 80% of Mexico's resources remain untapped. The unemployment rate hovers around 40%. Seems like they could have plenty of jobs if the government would only create them. I personally wouldn't mind the U.S helping out with that. In the long run, I think it would benefit both countries immensely. Ding ding, cooperation ends illegal immigration.

Apparently by your statement, you are politically self educated.
The Mexicans can migrate the same way people from the Arab countries, the African countries, and other countries do it, and most of those countries have it far worse than any illegal trying to run across the border from Mexico into America. Illegal aliens are not immigrants, please stop insulting the real immigrants of America.
Illegals are a disgrace to real immigrants, America, and their own nation. Most are criminals that can not pass the background check, or have a decease and can't get cleared for entry. These are not immigrants, and they care not for the harm they do to America. That is why I have been begging governor Rendell from Pennysilvania to run for president. He takes a hard line on these issues, and has the actions in his own state to back it up. He listened to his people and has worked very hard to turn his state around. He is right now celebrating the two million dollar tax break he just gave his citizens. He fines landlords who house these criminals, and repeat offense result in loss of the property which is turned over to the citizens to provide low income housing for his poor. He forces businesses in his state to abide by our illegal alien, and equal opportunity laws, or face enormous fines, with repeat offenses requiring loss of business license to operate a business in his state. Illegals are deported, and immigrants and Americans are given back what was stolen from them. The poverty rate of Americans had gotten so bad in his state because of the illegals that the state was going bankrupt. He has turned that all around, and gave the people back their jobs, and the poverty level in his state is dropping by leaps and bounds. I want this man for my next president.

Mexican citizens may apply at consular sections around the world for a NAFTA professional (TN) visa. As part of the visa application process, an interview at the embassy consular section is required for most visa applicants. Interviews are generally by appointment only. As part of the visa interview, a quick, two-digit, ink-free fingerprint scan can generally be expected. The waiting time for an interview appointment for most applicants is a few weeks or less, but for some embassy consular sections it can be considerably longer. Visa wait times for interview appointments and visa processing time information for each U.S. Embassy or Consulate worldwide is now available on our website at Visa Wait Times, and on most embassy websites. Visit the Embassy Consular Section website where you will apply for your visa to find out how to schedule an interview appointment, pay the fees and any other instructions

How come whenever Mexico had hard times in the past, with jobs, economics or just their government. They stood up and revolted. If the situation is that bad down there fight and take your country back. If you know some thing is wrong fix it. Don't run away. Where's Poncho Villa when you need him Jeez!

Why should they have a right to come here at all? We subsidize services such as education and health care for our poor people, so we limit poor immigrants to a number we are willing to pay for. Those who come illegally both push back those who are applying to come legally and steal services that we pay for. Meanwhile our services are so over strained that education is failing in our border states and emergency rooms are closing their doors right and left.

They have no right to come here and steal a better life that we pay for not only in money but in failure of education for our children and health care for our elderly.

It isn't a long wait because it is 'broken' but because we never agreed to pay for and provide services for so many.

Jenny,

It is not the role or responsibility of another nation to solve the economic issues another country is having. 100% of that responsibility falls on the Mexican government (or whatever country we're talking about here).

The reason why that's one of his/her's "only" option is because of government scandals and broken sociological structure that the country harbors. The solution isn't to allow illegal immigration.

And finally, I think you'd be hard-pressed to prove that all Mexicans are pouring through our borders for reasons similar to the one you stated. In fact, I think you'd be hard-pressed to prove that they're all Mexican.

There is work in Mexico, but it's hard for unskilled and semi-skilled people to earn enough to support a family. Advocate increased measures to stop illegal immigration, but understand the cause.
