I used to think Texas was the best place to live since there is no state income tax, but I was wrong.
Texas has the highest property tax on homes. We pay $3000 a year on a 1460 sq. ft home. Texas is one of the highest tax assessed states in the nation. We moved here from Missouri where we paid personal property on vehicles, state income tax and there is only $150 difference per year.

You, me, and millions of other people would like the answer to this one. Probably a small town (maybe without an airport hub), for example a small town on the Olympic Penninsula in Washington State, close enough to Seattle.

Be careful of the lure of low taxes. It usually comes with the trap of inadequate services.
In this context, I would assume it might be Dallas or Houston, Texas!
