I was 39 and enrolled in an Architectural program. I just graduated this month with honors and still can't believe it. I guess I took it more seriously than I did high school.

I am 41 and just graduated from community college with honors as well, a 3.9 GPA. I am transferring to a 4-year college in Fall 06 to get my BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Communication Design. I think the older you are the more you know what you want to do and will be more serious about it. When you're young, you don't know where you're headed or what you want to do (not typically anyway). I've enjoyed it a lot more this time around. You're only as old as you feel!!

I'm not, but I've seen a lot of stories featured on that topic, esp on the Today Show. They recently had a grandmother who went back after 50 yrs (and just graduated), and then several other mothers who went back after 10-20 yrs. Exciting world we live in now.

Me. It took me 25 years to get my Associate's. I graduated with a 4.0 and gave the commencement address. This from a person who barely graduated from high school. I'm hoping f/a will come through so I can start my bachelor's this fall.

Congratulations to you as well!

I went to school for elementary ed when I was 18, at 29 I went to Nursing college and loved it. At 43, I started my BSN, I graduate in Aug, and I'm starting my masters in Sept. I think when we are older we find our niche and just slide thru it with ease. We are more focused.
