Im a real down to earth girl...but i have problems getting a boyfriend. Im not a girly girl who plays with her hair or constantly worries about her makeup. I guess im more of a tomboy. Im really athletic and into sports. Im really shy (especally around guys) and im not the most popular girl in school. how can i become more confident?

Guys really like someone they can do things with. If you are athletic and enjoy sports, then find a guy who likes the same sports as you do. Suggest going skiing, swimming, hiking, or whatever you're good at and enjoy together. Self-confidence, a sense of humor, loyalty, honesty, and a sense of adventure are very attractive qualities. It's also important to look your best. Guys are very visual beings. Get some advice from someone in the sports clothes department and maybe someone at the cosmetic counter about choosing styles and cosmetics that are comfortable, natural, and flattering to your face and figure. When you look your best, you'll feel more confident around boys.

First off look in the mirror and know that u are a strong beautiful person no matter what anyone else thinks...you could always play up your look some too... like wear a lil makeup but not to much or try a few girl outfits...nothing that changes who u are just something to take focus off of the fact that your more of a tomboy. As for being around guys don't be shy.... u probably have a lot to talk to them about u just don't realize it, just don't over do it and act like just one of the guys make sure u stand out. Who cares if ur not the most popular in school... u will learn that after high school that crap doesn't even matter. Just be more bold around guys the more u expose yourself to talking to them the better you'll be. Just remember sooner or later a great guy is going to come along and see all the great qualities you have! In time you'll get a man... but really work on the cnfidence...confidence is sexy...do whatever makes u feel the most confident and expose the guy you like to u when u are your most confident.

Your confidence will build when you truly find love for yourself. Look in the mirror and see how wonderful you are. Concentrate on what makes YOU happy. In time, you will truly shine. When someone sees that confidence, they will be attracted to that energy and will want to be around you.

Actually, there are lots of guys that like that type of girl. There's nothing more sexy that athletic tomboyish girls that wear just a tad of make-up. So, just be confident because that's all it takes. Guys will come to you. And please, DO NOT LISTEN TO THE PERSON ABOVE MY ANSWER.

stop being shy around guys. you dont wanna seem like you are a guy or anything but connect with them through sports. and make sure they dont think of you as a sister or just one of the guys cause thats even more frustrating.

I caint tell you nothing about confidents but I will tell ye that if you wont them boys to notiss you you got to were yer skerts real short and a lot of lipstick so they can see your real loose. THey like girls who are loose.
