Yes, in fact, many of God's chosen were people who had sinned against Him...

Take Moses, for example, he killed a man. Jesus's disciple, Paul, was originally named Saul, and persecuted many Christians, and had them killed. I think it is important that these examples are here, to show us that God uses everyday people for His purposes. We tend to think these people in the Bible were special, but the only things that made them different from us were their actions after taking God into their hearts.

To God, sin is sin. A lie, or adultery, is just as bad as murder. And if the sinner truly asks for forgiveness, and accepts God in his life, then, YES....they WILL be forgiven.

PS>>>>

On a personal note, this was very hard for me to accept. When my seven year old daughter was molested by a family "friend", I could not handle the thought that if someday, that creep found God, and asked, that he would be forgiven. That he might walk the streets of heaven with my daughter....NO WAY!!! It wasn't until years later, that I realized.....if that creep TRULY asked God for forgiveness, and turned his life around....then he would then be a NEW person...not the creep anymore.

PPS>>>Mano, it's like the story of the prodigal son who took his inheritance and left, drank and spent his money on women, then, years later came home. The father threw a party, and the son who had stayed with the father was angry. Why should the bad son get a party? I didn't understand this either, until just a few years ago. If I live right, why should those who don't get the same treatment?
The thing is, we ALL are "bad"....we all sin. None of us is the "good" son. I came to realize this, and that what we humans consider "good" is filth to the Lord. Even the best person, who is charitable, kind, and loving, is still a sinner, has failed to follow God's law at some point. That's why Christ stood in our place, and when God looks at all us filthy humans, He sees the shining perfectness of Christ instead.

Hope this helps.

As aweful as a murder is, murderer is forgiven of his sin if he asks for forgiveness and turns his live around. All sins are equal in the sight of God and when he died he died for everyone and for evey sin. Sincereity is where it at. If someone is truely sorry and has no intention on doing it again God will forgive them.

If the murder is sorry that he did the killing and asks God to forgive him,he would be forgiven. It wouldn't change what would happen to the murder here on earth. He would still face the earthly consequences for his crime. That would be decided by the court system.

God said he will forgive you seventy times seventy. But one thing will he not forgive you for and that is self murder. So, as long as we are sorry and repent and dont do it agian then no matter what the sin is then God will forgive you

Yes, the murderer (if he says "Jesus save me") goes to heaven and the victim (who doesn't believe in Jesus) goes to hell.

It has nothing to do with his future intentions.

And, it has nothing to do with mercy. The only possible reason would be the Christian God is so narcissistic that he considers not being worshiped a greater sin than all others.

Christians call that justice.

If the murderer actually asked for forgiveness and seriously meant it, then yeah, but I don't think that is going to happen.

A murderer cannot be forgiven while still in a flesh body.

1Jo 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

God forgives everybody whatever you may do only if you just ask for forgiveness but humans find it hard to forgive others.

yes, God forgives all things - which seems unfair to some, but I say, if you turn from your evil ways and repent for what you've done, you're as white as snow to God, so you are the same as you are in God's eyes to me...

but if you turn your back on God and act like you don't know him, he'll say he doesn't know you...

It is very difficult for people to change their way. Almost impossible. Charles Dickens gives a great example of the human character with Scrooge. Many people might say that they repent, but G-- knows the truth. You can lie to me and even to yourself. But, you cannot lie to G--
