Forget about the Wrath of God.

The Universe is immensely violent and major floods and earthquakes are only an infinitessimally small portion of its workings.

Because there is NO GOD. But if you believe there is, then you should also believe in the Great Pumpkin.
I find it strange that if God knows what you're gonna do before you do it, and if God "planned" your life before you were born ... how can there be free-will, when everything is planned by God. And if free-will exist, then why doesn't God stop you or tragedies from happening? Know why? Cuz there is no God. Nada - Nothing - Zilch - Zip - Zero. I'm suppose to believe that there's someone up there looking down on all of us making sure we all do good ( but yet he knows all the bad that is going to happen) and if we do bad he'll send us to hell - But he still loves us? Does this make any sense? Where is God when an old lady gets raped and murdered? Where is God when a village dies in a flood? Where was God at in 9/11? If God knew that these guys were going to highjack a plane and kill so many people why did he let it happen? And if it's the Devil that does these things, then why did God create him/her and why doesnt' he/she destroy him/her? Is the Devil stronger than God? I'll tell you MY answer, there is no God ..and there is no Devil. There is just you and the world around you and the good and bad you do and the choices you make and the consequences they bring. If you had 99 children and you knew that the 100th one was going to kill them all, would you let it live? Of course not. So why did God let Hitler be born? It's all just a lot of stories and mumbo-jumbo to scare you and to brain-wash you into thinking like others. To vote like them - To think like them - To give money to them - To keep you in fear. Hence our current adminstration. Since when has God been a running mate? But hey, that's my opinion.

God can read what is in a person's heart. However He does not know how someone will act in advance. He allows us to have free will.Paul said at Galations 6:7"Do not be misled: God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap"God permits things to happen to answer the Devil's charges that His followers only follow Him for His protection.See the book of Job.Satan will do much harm, and some people blame Him, as Job did.Granted, in the Old Testament, God sometimes passed judgement on the enemies of His people, but that was neccesary at that time, as the Jews were his people. In Acts chapter 11, Peter explains this starting at vs 1:1 Now the apostles and the brothers that were in Ju·de´a heard that people of the nations had also received the word of God. 2 So when Peter came up to Jerusalem, the [supporters] of circumcision began to contend with him, 3 saying he had gone into the house of men that were not circumcised and had eaten with them. 4 At this Peter commenced and went on to explain the particulars to them, saying:

5 “I was in the city of Jop´pa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision, some sort of vessel descending like a great linen sheet being let down by its four extremities from heaven, and it came clear to me. 6 Gazing into it, I made observations and saw four-footed creatures of the earth and wild beasts and creeping things and birds of heaven. 7 I also heard a voice say to me, ‘Rise, Peter, slaughter and eat!’ 8 But I said, ‘Not at all, Lord, because a defiled or unclean thing has never entered into my mouth.’ 9 The second time the voice from heaven answered, ‘You stop calling defiled the things God has cleansed.’ 10 This occurred for a third time, and everything was pulled up again into heaven.
Sorry, don't want to go on too long. Hope this helps.

God made a perfect world where there was never supposed to be any disease, pain, suffering, earthquakes, etc. Actually we are the ones who have caused the floods, earthquakes, disease, pain, and suffering because of the way we pollute the air, and the water, and everything else we touch. So next time there is a disaster think about what we have put into the air and water to pollute it and cause a reaction of destruction. Satan is very active in the disasters we go through.

This is a common misconception about God. God is a god of salvation, not of revenge. God is not the author of sin, sickness or death. God does not inflict man with trials and tribulations, rather, it is these trials and tribulations that bring us closer to god.

The biggest mistake mortal man can make is to humanize God. To endow him with mortal qualities. God is infinite and eternal; all Life, Truth, Love, Principle, Mind, Soul, Spirit.

If you stop a moment and think back to the many times in your life, when things were not going so well, you will find that the still small voice of divine love has always guided you out of situations that were harmful to you. That is, if you listened.

It is that same still small voice, which comes to us as our own thought, and says plainly "Do not build your home here. It is in a fire zone," or "it is on land that is prone to earthquakes or landslides, floods." Those that listen act. Those that do not head the message often find themselves a bit worse off.

In my humble opinion, I feel that man brings misfortune on himself, then blames God, or the devil, for his own inadequate and somewhat faulty thinking.

Great question. I hope my answer helps.

God does not foresee how people will act. He gave everyone the ability to know right from wrong, and decide for themselves. And he does not kill people for their actions. Things like floods and earthquakes don't kill selected people. They kill adults, children and animals. What makes you think everyone who has died in these events are being punished? Just like you might have known there was a CHANCE for rain, but hoped it wouldn't.

God doesn't kill people with floods and earthquakes the devil does. There are laws set in motions when laws are broken it causes floods and earthquakes ;Like going up in space. drilling deep down in the earth. Putting toxin in the air by burning rubber. Why do you always blame God ? God dose foresee He has showed some things to me in the future, we have to pray. the devil has rule here Christ Jesus came to give us back authority.

God does not foresee how someone is going to act, he gives you the options to do right or wrong in any given situation. He also gives you the opportunity so many times in your live to accept him into your life, and when time is up,time is up.

Good point! I have often wondered why.Being human it is impossible to understand all that the Bible teaches. But I understand where you're coming from.My view is,If I knew who would win the ball game and all the details, what would be the point in playing the game! Many people are delusional in believing that God is only a "God of love" He is a "God of love" but he is also a "God of vengeance" People will tell you that God does not kill, maybe He doesn't,but He allows it to happen. All of my life, when someone I love has died, people say things like "oh he is in a much better place" or "she is in heaven with God so be happy" Well the Bible says something entirely different! The Bible says, concerning those that are in the grave,The dead know nothing not a thing, they have no memory,no thought. And on the day of judgement when the trump is blown and they are called up.To them it will be as though they had been asleep! So all of my life I have been lied to "by well meaning people" but it only goes to prove( after you hear something over and over again, your mind accepts it as truth) Therefore we end up not knowing whether "God really said it" or was it instilled into our brains by man? So now days,it doesn't matter to me if a priest were to tell me something concerning God or the Bible.I want him to tell me where I can find a reference in the Bible that proves what he tells me is truth!

Ok I did some research: Those you that have said "We are not predestined or choosen by God go do some research!

The Bible clearly says:

Ephesians 1:3-6
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as "He hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world", that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 "Having predestinated us" unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
*********************************************
All mankind is worthy of death and destruction. NONE are worthy of salvation regardless of religious performance or affiliation. Yet those whom "God foreknew" would accept the salvation purchased at Calvary were chosen by God's sovereign election and grace from before the foundations of the world. You are not saved because you chose God..."you are saved because God chose you" from eternity past

As he foresees all as he does when we get out of controll. Just as it could be that it is his way of controlling the population. It is sad to think about it but maybe there is a reason why there are events that have "mass causalities".
