the guy calls you to ask you how u been and just to talk to to you but when you guys get into an arugment he tells you he doesnt care about you does he really care about you or not

even if guy doesnt call u and he says he doesnt care about u when u are best friends know eachother for 5 years it means hes in love he just says he doesnt care
as for ur situation it means hes in love with u hes just saying he doesnt care about u to deny his feelings

If he is calling you to check up on how things have been I'd say he does have some sort of feelings or does care for you in some way. He just probably is saying he doesn't when ya'll fight cause he is a jerk.
