For as long as I can remember, I've put 1 or 2 ice cubes in milk, when/if I drink milk. I wondered who else does the same, and why? :) Here's my reasoning...
Even though the cubes melt and water down the milk slightly (if too much time passes), I don't mind, because the alternative is WORSE! I find that the flavor of milk becomes very nasty the warmer it gets. (I never understood how some folks drink "warm milk" as a sleep aid). Even if it goes from refrigerator-cold to cool, the taste starts getting much less pleasant in my book.
Granted, I love almost all drinks cold and I put ice in almost everything, but the most important drink to have ice-cold is MILK!
I know -- it's an inane question, but I'm feeling inane tonight! ;D

In response to person #6 (Call me AL), it might be a Southern/regional thing -- it sure is hot down there! However, I'm a native of California. :)
