The human need to find reasons for things we don't understand is based on fear. People fear the unknown. Also dead is dead... most individuals that are revived tell of stories of light... but science has proven that the mind goes after the heart stops beating and the retinal of the eye still receives light. Also it's human nature to go through the pains of loss and grieve. Most want to know that it's better for their lost loved ones because death is final. Also, death is unavoidable. Everyone dies therefore people want reassurance of what they will experience.

Yes we do wat to know about death and life after death, because we know exactly that all everything who has lives will die.And we know also that the dead will not come again in this world. As a moslem I do not have faith of reincarnation. We know only a few about death, because it is a secret of God Almighty. We will die if our soul and spirit go back to lap of our God.The angel will draw our soul and spirit if it is a right time to go to our God.We can not increase or decrease what have been decided by our God.Our lifes in this world have been decided by our Gor before we are born.

We all want to understand death to dispell our fears of the unknown. Death is the one thing that no one can experience and return to tell us what it's really like. Most fear death because of being threatened with Hell their entire lives.
It is documented that Hell is right here on earth.

I think because we feel like death is when we'll be the most vulnerable. The control of our lives is taken so by trying to inform ourselves as much as we can, we can gain some control of what we can't control. Knowledge is Power

'Cause it scares the **** out of us.
When I got my lip pierced, or when I went to get my tattoo... I was so scared that it would REALLY hurt that I asked a million questions about it.
We want to know more about the unknown, thinking that the more we know about it the less we'll be scared of it. Which tends not to help anyway.

cuz most of us are running around like headless chooks, wondering when our time will come to greet deaths door, its amazing more people are scared of dying Rather than enjoying to the max what we have when alive.

people fear what they don't understand. If you can spin death into something else like a transformation then its not as scary.

Perhaps it's because we can't know for certain what happens afterwards.
It will come soon enough, there is no point in worrying about it now.

Because it's inevitable. There is not mystery of whether or not we will die but of "how" we will die. It's more a fascination with the unknown.
