I live in Atlanta where could i go within a reasonable price?

Go to Gatlinburg. Stay in a chalet. It will be cheaper then a hotel. You can get there in about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. In neighboring Pigeon Forge you have lots of neat activities and the National Park is right there.
Go with some friends & split the room. You can't go wrong.

You can drive to two good beach cities. Charleston, SC is a 5 hour drive and Savannah, GA is 4 hours.

Savannah is 16 miles from Savannah Beach.
An inexpensive week end at the beach includes sunning on a beach. (Which is free!) My tip for making it less expensive it to search travel.yahoo.com for a place to stay NEAR the beach, in walking distance, but not ON the beach. Call the hotel/motel in advance and ask how long is the walk to beach access? Remember you have to carry a cooler, towels, etc. etc.

I was curious what your "reasonable price" would be? There are so many opportunities out there depending on what your budget is. If you wanted to drive somewhere close, Hilton Head Island, Tybee Island or Myrtle Beach are all excellent beach choices. If you wanted to fly, you can get some really great deals to Las Vegas or Cancun. I guess it really depends on what you want to do and how much you want to spend!
