Year to year and a half. Of course when I was in the Army in the early seventies, we were issued C-rats that were manufactured in the 50's. Oh. if the can is rusty, pitch it.

For years. If in doubt, call the company and ask. There is probably a toll-free number on the label, and if you reqad them some code on the can, they can tell you if it's still good.

Don't use them after the expiration date, its generally 2 years after manufacture.

If the can is not damaged the contents could last for years.
