how do we recognize other souls?

like, how do we hang on to any kind of knowledge or awareness without a brain? yet we do, right, we know our soulmate, for ex., so how is that done?
and please, no bible verses, if I wanted that, I'd just read the bible!

Some people do believe that we have soul mates and some don't, even the ones who believe in reincarnation. My opinion is that we DO meet people we have known before, BUT, we cannot have soul mates because it would not allow us to evolve spiritually. We reincarnate to learn about love and forgiveness and to rise above the mistakes of the past. If we have the same mate for all of that how are we supposed to learn anything?

There are so many things in the universe that we do not understand and probably will not be able to understand.My grandmother told me that when unusual things happen to 'mark' it or keep a mental note.I wanted to see a friend and could not reach her by telephone.I called her name aloud and said that I needed to see her.She pulled into my yard about five minutes later.When I visited my father's farm recently, I thought about him.I thanked him aloud for thinking about his family and providing for them.Minutes later, the prettiest royal blue bird I had ever seen appeared.I tried to capture it on digital but I failed.I got a silhouette that blends so well, if you did not know, you would not see it.A sister who died recently (2005) had a gift for craft especially paper flowers. My younger brother has created some beauties..He said it came naturally.When this sister twin died, she began to turn out beautiful baskets that came naturally.My father played drums in a marching band and even though I did not play the keyboard well,he used to listen to me.Since his death,I find that I can play songs by ear that would challenge me if I tried to play them by reading notes.They come naturally.I believe that the part of the person we carry as a memory encourages us to see things from their perspective.Our mind is very powerful; and when we use it properly,we produce quality results.

We do not recognize souls. No one knows their "soul mate" that is just an expression. Many people have married their "soul mate" only to end in divorce.
Souls are entirely spiritual and cannot be known by the senses at all.

Okay! The soul is you, when you die the soul dies.
Or the body. You go to the grave and awate a resurrection
Why would we need a resurrection if your already raised up?
