For the Bible, the answer is "about forty." Of the sixty-six books, several are attributed to the same author (as in the traditional view that Moses wrote the first five books of the Old Testament; in the New Testament, the Gospel of John, I John, II John, III John and the book of Revelation are all attributed to Jesus' disciple. The book of Acts was certainly written by Luke, the writer of the third Gospel. The apostle Paul wrote about 1/3 of the New Testament (the espistles to the early Christian churches).
There are some books for which an author cannot be readily identified, such as the New Testament book of Hebrews, and a couple in the Old Testament for which authorship is debated, which makes the number forty a very close, if maybe not precise, number. Execpt for the voices of a few very liberal/radical scholars, the academic community is quite settled on this question.
As for the Qu'ran, I believe tradition holds that the entire thing was revealed to Mohammed; but the text has gone through much redaction, re-arranging and editing, and displays some stylistic changes which suggests more than one author. It's impossible to tell what Mohammed dictated originally, and what was added later, but it seems unlikely that the Prophet wrote the whole thing.

We don't know how many people were used to write the Bible since the names of the books are not always the authors.
The Quran was entirely revealed to Mohammed. But he couldn't write.

Have you ever played the child's game, in which 15-20 children form a circle and one child starts a brief story and the next child retells the same story, on around the circle until the story returns to the child that started the circle's story? The story has NO relevance or near appearance to the original tale. Now add 75 years into the situation and you see how the Bible came to be.The world was in turmoil and the those in a leadership role decided to institute ground rules to the rabble. The golden rule is one which works as well as religion without the required quilt or going to hell for those not abiding by rules of humanity.now I know none of this will make a difference because of "FAITH" no one can discuss religion on an intellectual level because of "FAITH" This is how all religions control their people. Faith disallows any thought into religion. It is all story's to control people's urges and actions...think about it.... I dare you...

First ?... It is not known for certain how many original scribes God inspired to trans-scribe His words... and none of those original text are still in existance. And have not been for more than 1600 yrs that is known.
Second ?... There is no allah. No , allah is not the one true God. allah is not The God of Abraham. allah was a word used to describe many different idols(gods) in the nomadic culture the cult was founded in. islam was founded at sword point and spread at sword point and in inforced at sword point. and is till today kept in place by the threat of the sword. It is not in any way from the One True God who is the Creator of all things in this physical universe....

God didnt "use" anybody to write any books. If god had then there would be no doubt as to what the "real word of god" is.
