My friend, anyone considering ANY form of Christianity or worship of ANY Christ should do so only after reading the eye opening text The Hiram Key by Robert Lomas and Christopher Knight. Their research into Masonic ritual has led them to uncover truths long kept secret by the Church for more than two thousand years. The book is both frightening, and at the same time seems to be authentic. It discusses the Illuminati (and NOT the Dan Brown Illuminati everyone seems to be so familiar with), Freemasonry, and their links to early Christianity; the origian teachings of Jesus Christ, before the Church decided what should be written. The book is powerful, and revealing. I reccomend it to anyone with an open mind who is seeking a high truth than whta is given to us by those who know nothing!

Shawn

As far as The Bible is concerned: you have only two choices for eternity: Heaven (Paradise) or Hell (torment). By default (inherent sin), Hell is automatically chosen for everyone. (Rom 6:23), however we can "opt-out" of being tormented forever. The opt-out requires accepting Christ and then living a Christian life. What will happen with a lot of people then is they will have looked at other options for avoiding hell and will be angry/surprised/upset that they didn't succeed.

Think of it this way:

You walk into a restaurant and you're super-hungry... starving even. Problem, you have no money. The someone tells you that some stranger left instructions with the manager to charge meals to his card for anyone who asks. All you have to do is ask the manager to charge your bill to this benevolent stranger.

Given that situation: if the only thing standing between you and food is you going through the trouble of asking, whose fault is it if you starve to death?

By the same token, since Jesus paid the price God requires for people to avoid hell... people who've been told that Jesus wants to save them can't blame anyone but themselves for not accepting the free gift...

So the real question isn't what would Jesus do to convince you, but does it really make sense to refuse his free offer. You're gonna spend eternity somewhere, wouldn't it be better to spend eternity NOT being tormented???

Choice is yours, and yours alone.

Make it a good one, or you will be sorry you didn't take the choice more seriously. One shouldn't have to "convince" you, you should make the decision based on what you feel is the right thing to do with what He has told you.

Read the last book of His Word, and you might be "convinced" rather quickly.

If you ask this question, I think that you probably don't want to spend eternity with Jesus. Jesus didn't come to convince you of some blue light special at K Mart. God is our rightful king and ruler and he needs to take his place in your life, or you can run it yourself.. He came to take his rightful place, not convince you of your need for eternal life.. You ask God to come in and run your life and tell him that you will follow him and do what he wants and then things start to get into the right perspective..

Well if you believe in all this, I guess the argument runs that he's done his bit - the whole 'coming to earth, spreading the message, and allegedly unlocking the gates of paradise to us in the first place' bit. Pretty spectacular sales pitch, wouldn't you say? But he's very much in favour of the soft sell - you want it, it's there, you don't, no-one's forcing it on ya.

Just remember, Heaven's likely to be full of Christians, if Jesus is who they say he is. One way or another, that should probably sway you.

Dead Mark,
For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible...everything got started in Him and finds its purpose in Him ( Colossians1:16 ) It is not about you. The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness. It is far greater than your family, your career, or even your wildest dreams and ambitions. If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God. You were born by His purpose and for His purpose.

Knowing your purpose prepares you for eternity. The life is not all there is. Life on earth is just the dress rehearsal before real production. You will spend far more time on the other side -in eternity- than you will here. Earth is the staging area, the preschool, the tryout for your life in eternity. Your earthly body is just a temporary residence for your spirit. While life offers you many choices, eternity offers you only two choices:heaven or hell. If you learn to trust God's Son, Jesus, you will be invited to spend the rest of eternity with Him. Right now, God is preparing an eternal home for you. In heaven you will be reunited with with loved ones who are believers, released from all pain and suffering, rewarded for our faithfulness on earth, and redesigned to do the work we will enjoy doing.

God wants to be your best friend. God deeply desires that we know Him intimately. You were formed for God's family. God wants a family, and He created you to be part of it. He treasures relatinships. Baptism is not an otional ritual, to be delayed or postponed. It signifies your inclusion in God's family. It is celebration of your inclusion in God's family...

Relationships are always worth restoring. That is why the New Testament is devoted to teaching us how to get along with one another. Only you can be you, and God deserves your best

He wants to take you to His fathers house, forever. If you accept Jesus into your heart and declare Him as your Lord and Savior, He will defend you and accept you in the front of the angels of heaven.

He is knocking an knocking at your hearts door. He is longing to be with you in eternity. Life in the earth is only a temporary assignment. Talk to your God. You do not have to wait until you are on the otherside...You were made to last forever....He will not want to lose you, He wants to be with you...He loves you, you Mark

Simply put, Jesus loved you so much that he took your place on the cross and died for you, so you wouldn't have to spend eternity in hell. Read the book of St. John to start.

He wouldn't seeing how the entire bible from beginning to end tells us that His kingdom will come to earth not us to heaven
HERE IS JUST ONE EXAMPLE FROM THE OT AND THE NT
Isa 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
Re 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Don't worry: you won't have to make that decision as there is no heaven nor hell. There is nothing after life. I hope this is not going to make you do stupid things on earth as this is the only life you have, and this is also the only life other people have.

I think if you looked Him in the eye, you wouldn't have any question.

Haven't you ever known someone who made you feel a little afraid, but also made you want to be a better person? Someone who made you feel a sense of awe and you just wanted to be near them so that you could catch a glimpse of how they do it?

I believe Jesus is like that. To know Him is to love Him. To love Him is to want to be near Him.
