i think the name mary beth is a very traditional and classical name it has been around for many years but, is still going very strong and i think it is a smart idea to name your baby something that isn't going to turn into a fad in a couple of years but, it does feel a bit old maybe you should use a different spelling variation to make it a little more new school the truth is if you like it it doesn't matter what i think>>>>>>> good luck with the baby :)
