The quickest way is to cut out red meats, starches, breads, sugars, alcohal, and sodas.

Eat veggies (salads are good), soups, and drink TONS of water. If you get hungry between a meal, drink water to fill up.

In moderation eat white meats, and fruits (fruits contain natural sugars, and that can put on weight)

Practice portion control. Yes, you'll feel hungry at first, but think of your goal, and soon your stomach will start shrinking and you won't have that feeling anymore.

Eat 5 times a day. A small breakfast. A mid-morning snack, such as an apple. A small lunch. A mid-afternoon snack, such as carrots. A lite dinner. Do not eat any later than 7pm (6pm is better.)

Go exercise for at least an hour a day, incorporating weight training. Weight training builds muscle. Muscle burns fat. You get the idea. It also gives tone and definition.

Good luck!!

The best thing to do is diet and exercise and do it the natural way. However, if you want to loose the weight by this fall, set a target. If you want to loose 250 Ibs then that is a little unreasonable. You could probably loose about 100 Ibs by then. What I would do is see your doctor and ask them what a reasonable amount of weight to loose for fall would be, the healthiest way to go about it and have them help you choose a target goal of how much you want to loose. Other than that there are dangerous surgeries that you can get done like gastric by-pass, they are not only life threatening but expensive and the access skin that you have after the surgery remains so a tummy tuck is needed in order to look nice. And that is also a dangerous surgery and expensive as well. The only thing I can suggest is loosing the weight the natural way, a little bit is better than nothing even if you don't loose all the weight that you want to. Or you can put your wedding off until next year in the fall and guaranteed with alot of hard work you can reach your goal and be that little skinny hotstuff that you want to be. But again, do it naturally and just be happy with the weight that you do take off.

The first thing you should do is decide that you are definately going to attempt to lose the weight that you are describing. Preparing yourself mentally is a huge step toward achievement, and most often makes all the difference. From your description, you seem to have a good deal of weight to lose, so keep in mind, it does not go on overnight, so it will not come off overnight either.

The best thing to do is to first consult a physician to determine if there are any limitiations to a diet and exercise program. Once you are cleared to start a program of weight loss, then you start setting short term, realistic goals for yourself. Since weight loss is best done gradually, you should set a goal of maybe losing 2-3 pounds per week. Don't try to crash diet or starve yourself as this will most often leave you discouraged and could cause health problems.

Things to consider:

Start by looking at your current diet. See if you can eliminate some things like simple sugars, (soda pop, candy bars, sugar drinks, etc.) and foods which contain alot of saturated fat (fast foods, french fries, potato chips, fried foods, etc.) That will give you a good head start.

Eat good complex carbohydrates and good protein sources. These would include things like oatmeal, beans, brocolli, sweet potatoes, etc. and for proteins, things like eggs, fish, lean beef, chicken, etc.

Try to eat several small meals per day instead of 2 or 3 big ones. This will keep your body nourished throughout and leave you feeling full instead of long hours without food where you could feel very hungry and just eat whatever you can get. This will also increase your body's metabolism to burn fat more efficiently.

Drink plenty of water. Water helps to flush out your system and keeps you hydrated. Water also makes it easier for the body to deliver nutrients that you take in from your foods.

Ask your doctor about a good multi-vitamin. This will ensure that you are getting the proper nutrients that you might not be getting from food alone.

Cardiovascular Exercise: Treadmill, stationary bike, elliptical machines, etc. A good way to start is by simply walking and increasing your intensity of exercise as you progress. Again, I would stress to work with your doctor or someone knowledgeable in fitness and nutrition.

I hope this helps you. Please keep in mind, you cannot "spot" reduce, which means you can't just lose the weight in a certain area of the body. No matter how many crunches you do, you will not see your belly decrease in size unless you reduce your body fat through diet and exercise. Make up your mind that you are going to do this, set realistic goals, and do your best to stick to your program. Do not get discouraged if you fail however...everyone fails, but a truly strong person who wants to succeed gets right back up and tries again. Good luck!

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if your trying to lose weight, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then your consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. You could try "bariatric surgery", you could lose a lot of pound with it, even if you eat and eat, well, you can't eat too much, coz you'll be full with just a few bite. The stomach will be tied or something like that, that way, you can't have too much food inside.

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER:
The correct way to burn fat and stay healthy is to burn more calories than you consume
You need to make sure you are eating healthy foods while still excercising
If you have a big appetite drink plenty of water so that you will feel full but not consume calories
But you should always eat
If you start to skip meals you will only be more hungry at your next meal and probably eat way too much
Remember, the average persons stomach is as big as a slice of pizza scrunched up into a ball
So you shouldnt be putting more food into your stomach than what fits
Also, it takes aproximately 15-20 minutes for your brain to realize that you are full
so eat slower and you will realize sooner when you are not hungry anymore

Lower (don't eliminate) your carbohydrate intake.

Eat whole grain carbs, opt for wheat bread or even pumpernickle or rye. No white potatoes, only sweets (hold the sugar)

General rule of thumb for good carbs and starches is SAY NO TO WHITE. No white bread, no white potatoes, no white rice, none of those whites are good.
