Some of the "Hispanics" in the United States may be FROM Latin America (which would include Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean). Latin America traditionally is a geographical designation, not a group of people who are "Latin" (Latino) and happen to be living in America. "Hispanic" refers to Spanish-speaking peoples, and "Latino" refers to people of Latin American origin. Not all Latinos are Spanish-speaking. Also, the word Hispanic is considered to be offensive in some areas because of the way the government uses it.

First of all there is no such thing as HISPANIC...that was a made up word by the GOVERNMENT!!! 2nd if one believes they are culturally of Latin American decent then they are. 3rd if we are thinking border wise...take me for example, I was born here but my parents are from Mexico...I have dual citizenship so I can and will vote for both sides of the border. Socially everyone thinks BORDERS stop everyone but it is CULTURE that unites us all!

What are you talking about ? Are you talking about all the Americans living in Latin America ? No one seems to be moaning and groaning about how they're taking over and such.
