I noticed the first lump about one year ago. It doesn't bother me much. It is just there. Before it should up i was having dry throat. also there were some bumps showing on my tongue. I was given some antibiotics for my tongue but nothing for my neck. Well the bump is still there and two other bumps have emerged. One is a small bump right under my left ear by my jaw. This one bothers me at times when i yawn. The other two which are opposite from each other also feel swollen at times and when i wash my neck with a wash cloth it really hurst. I told me that the knot on my jaw could be something. I am scared and i hold it has nothing to do with me given oral sex, which could possibly lead to cancer. He said that i should have a biopsy. They bother me because they are not suppose to be there. Can anyone help me with this?

I would go see a doc immediately if I were you. My mom had a few bumps that caused the side of her neck, right under her ear to swell more than it should, she got it biopsied to find out that it was a bunch of little tumors in her lymp nodes (although Not Cancerous thank God!). She still had to get them removed.

A doctor can better assess what could have caused it, biopsy it to tell you what kind of mass it is, and give you something to treat it with if it is something easy to cure. Good luck!

Go see your doctor now. Though it could be anything from A to Cancer, your doctor and a complete check up is your best option. My wife succumbed to breast cancer last year after a two year uphill battle with that dreaded symptom. It started with a small lump too under her left breast. She was diagnosed with malignant cancer, she had mastectomy and chemo therapy but eventually the big C got he. So, do not procrastinate , the earlier cancer is detected, the higher is the chance of it being cured. Good luck and I'll pray that you don't get it

Antibiotics should clear up a bacterial infection wherever it is, neck, tongue, etc. If the person who told you to have the biopsy is an Ear Nose Throat doctor, then that is probably a good idea. If not, ask your doctor or someone to recommend one. The official name is otolaryngology if you have to look it up in the phone book.

It could be a lot of things, it could be oral/ esophageal cancer, a lymph node problem, a blood infection that affects the lymph system. You should see a Dr, and get blood test, you should also see a ears/nose/throat specialist to get worked up. Good Luck.

Listen to your doctor and have the biopsy. It could be nothing, but waiting won't make them go away. Your doctor won't know how to treat you until he knows what it is. Don't wait. I know you're scared, but you're scared anyway, so do it for your own peace of mind. Good luck.

Sounds like tumors, I would advise you to get to a doctor and have it checked out immediately. Meanwhile, read up on the potential on the website below.

you could have a simple fluid filled cyst but you could also have lymph cancer, the longer you put it off the worse it will be, have it biopsied soon. it may even be an absess from a bad tooth.

Well I am sure the first one you found is just a nerve ending, and the others could be nerve endings as well, or maybe giant zits. I would ask your doctor, seeing as he/she is the best person to listen to.
