A person can be HIV+ for years and years and years without having any symptoms. Do you folks think that just because you've been dating someone for 5 years, that this is somehow going to make the HIV infection they had before they met you magically disappear? I wish!
Even if you think you're in a committed monogamous relationship, do you ever really KNOW that your partner is 100% faithful?
Here is some information on condoms, birth control, infection, safer sex, abstinence and other alternatives to intercourse, how to talk to your partner about sexual issues ... even a video on how to CORRECTLY apply a condom.

it's a good idea, nothing like sitting around wandering what you may have caught. I see some answers that say until I get to know her or if I been dating a long time, neither of those insure you she isn't hiv infected. only way to tell is a test. you can't look at someone and decide if they are hiv infected, if she has had sex one time b4, she can be infected (or he).

unless ive been dating for a long time, i always use a condom, and with a new person, definately....... like, why would anyone want std's, or even a chance of them.....
