The [same] guy I like the one's that's all shy around me and vice versa, well when he's around my other best [girl] friend (they're like uber close friends too) he acts more relaxed around her than he does around me. He finds it easier to talk to her than he does with me about any and everything. When he's around her he's not all shy like he is around me and I hate it. I want to become his freind before I become his girlfriend [if that makes any sense]. How do I do that?

He has emotions for you, not for her. So he is not worried about "saying the wrong things" to her. He does not want to make mistakes around you. If he is waiting for, be patient, take time. Love sometimes comes slowly.

Find something that you both have in common. A hobby, an interest, even a book. Eventually you'll break through that shy guy's shell and find something you connect with him on. In addition, it's a soft way to get to know him a little better, without scaring him off. He'll appreciate you taking an interest in something he cares about, and you'll get to know more about him at the same time.

He may be more relaxed around her because he isnt interested in her as anything more then a friend therefore her opinion of him may not matter as much as yours, just take it slow and strike up a conversation with him whenever possible and let things build slowly, if he is interested it shouldnt take long for things to move forward

He's more nervous around you because he likes you. Not sure how you can get him to quit being shy. Make the first move.

of course your confused...you're talking about a man..lol
take comfort in the fact that he's probably like that around you because he really likes you, he may even get butterflies in his tummy when your around. so be the initiator of things for a while and let him know that you want to know him!! but if he still doesn't come around, confront him or forget him, but don't stress!!! be you and be happy and that's irresistible to men.

you have to become less shy and get himm to trust you. just talk to him more and be more outgoing towards him. although, if hes shy around you but not around another girl, it could mean that he likes you more and gets toungue tied and stuff around you. but to become his friend first, just talk to him more, be more outgoing, and dont give him a chance to be shy.

just let loose and be more flexible around him . make him feel like he could talk to you about anything.then ask him out and if he says no then just stay as freinds.
