the parts that are incompatible with the theory of evolution

the whole resurrection thing,

the parts where it makes slavery legal

the part where its not ok to be a homosexual but its ok to wear clothing of different fiber

it says that the heavens opened up and it rained, when now we have a scientific explanation for the weather patterns

the whole concept that someone changed some of the words when they copied it, and what we have now is copies of copies that were translated and then copied, so now we are looking at someone elses interpretation of a copy of a copy of a copy

the part where jesus didn't correct people on the science of evolution from the old testment

the part where it says no man has seen god when before it says moses saw god

From a Christian Faith pov ask any Follower of Christ and you will find all have some dificulty with some part of Scripture. From the standpoint of understanding some technicality or another. All are mortal and subject to mortal flaws and preconcieved notions etc etc etc... There is no such thing as a perfect Christian. The human mind has difficulty comprehending the Supernatural.

Do not assume that just because one is Saved by Grace through faith,ie: a Christian, that all knowledge is theirs... it dont work that way. But, any true believer will have the leading of The Holy Spirit to guide the study of God's word... And that is the only way it can be fully studied. If we of the Christian Faith were perfect we woould fully understand all that we are given. And not greive The holy Spirit so, as we all do from time to time.

I accept email questions concerning the Christian Faith from all honest seekers

1. The Book of Joshua. So much killing of people who didn't believe what the Israelites did. That's hard to square.

2. The difference between the God we see in the Old Testament vs. the New Testament is hard to come to grips with too. Jesus seems to be connected to a God with a slightly different personality than the one Moses was talking to.

Have you read The Message before? I've never had so much fun and interest in the Bible since I started reading through that version. I'd recommend it to almost anybody who is trying to understand...

I don't necessarily have problems with the bible, just the freaks who interpret it their own special way to justify their hatred of people who are different from them...

Not too crazy on the jelly donut, but I'll take an everything bagel with cream cheese...

I'd think that if someone really felt that no part of the Bible was puzzling, then they are reading into the Bible more than they are reading from it.

How about Acts 16:16-19? I have always thought that whole episode is a little strange.

I think when it comes to the end times I get mixed up. I go over it a lot, but I'm never sure if I'm pre, mid or post trib. Also, how we can be sure if someone is a Christian or not. Does the sinners prayer deserve God's salvation or is it more than that. In my life it's more than that, but what about the thief on the cross?

It's all good. But truthfully, some of the instances like talking snakes, a wooden boat that carried all the animals of the earth during the flood when a Nimitz class aircraft carrier couldn't do it, some views of women and the apparent acceptance of slaves I have a hard time with.

I think it is really a rather sick book.

Blood Sacrifices are pretty sick to begin with! If your wife was cheating on you would you get a divorce or would you kill your children?

Do you really think eternal torture is a reasonable punishment for not believing an unbelieveable story.

All this would not be an issue, but christians seem to think this is their basis for morality.

Only the parts that I can understand.

So, I have no problem with Revelations. It's either tall-tale history or stoned-and-I-missed-it prophecy and completely irrelevant either way.

Genesis, the parts about hating non-believers, most of the ancient laws, Jesus being ressurrected/other miracles (I don't have a problem with that one per se, but I don't believe it for one second)
