How about Trout? Where are they at? Besides the Greene River where I pulled a 28" Brown Trout. Now that was awesome!

Lake Tahoe in Florida is the best Fishing lake in the USA. People come from all over to fish it. I have only success when I go fishing there and the Bass are just huge.

Lake Texoma on the Okie / Texas border. The best Striped bass lake in the country. Most months of the year you can fill the boat with Stripers from 3-15 lbs with the occassional 20+lbr.

Well you can get about a million answers from this on..... In the US we have over 1 million lakes and ponds.... and I have no idea how many miles of rivers and streams. It just depends on personal preferences. I like Lake Toho in Florida as Wolfe suggests but there are also... Lake Dixon in California, Lake Wylie along the NC/SC border, Pickwick in Tennesse, Lake Eire up north... and 10,000 different lakes in Minnesota... and yes, Illinios famed Lake of the Woods.
You have great fishing all up and down the Cape Fear River.... the Platte River, Snake River, Illinios River, Columbia River, Chatahoochee River...

And of course, it would be helpfull if you could zero in on a spieces...

In my opinion it is Lake Whitney, in Texas. It is voted Texas's Best Getaway.

lake moultrie or marion in s.c. also north or south edisto rivers in s.c. should also try savanah river on s.c. ga border
