He's your b/f, not your husband, your father, your boss, etc. If you want to go to California with your mom, Go- have fun.

If your b/f has problems with you making the decisions for your life, that's his problem, and you don't need him. You don't need a man who wants to dominate you and run your life.

On the other hand, if he's simply concerned for your safety, that's great- take a self defense class before you go, and be safe. When you come back, give your b/f a big hug and kiss, say, "I missed you!"

What? Someone who has no legal committment to you, no moral committment to you, and no financial committment to you is going to run your life for you? Wake up girl!
Start packing right now. While you're at it, move back home with your Mom until he's ready to make some kind of committment to you. In the meantime, go to California with your Mom and have a wonderful time.
