Why are there hemaphrodites and would they sin if they had sex whilst married? What sex could they marry without sinning?
Why, in some species of animal, are some of the males and females actively homosexual?
Why did God make some insects homosexual too? Like bedbugs-the males violently rape other males...why is that?
I have yet to get a straight answer for these troublesome questions, as most Christians seem to assume I am just getting at them(I assume, they think that because they just don't know the answers)

flandargo, why did you assume I was trying to justify homosexuality? Was that just your poor attempt at refusing to answer the question? Our survey says...Yes!!

Well, it looks like the majority of christians here can't handle questions concerning their beliefs. Sorry, but if you lot are stupid enough to blindly follow something without question, more fool you. Personally, I like to question what I'm doing first. Nice advert to stay well away from christ though, cheers!

I'm a Christian and I have heard and understand all those points. Which is why I think we are constantly called as people of faith to approach scripture with intelligence and a critical mind, and recognize that the people who wrote those things were writing from their vantage point within their culture and experience.

A straight answer is aren't parents suppose to be responsible about this at the baby's birth, so that the person doesn't grow up "confused"? Aren't they suppose to get surgery after they're born? In anycase, it's an imperfection that was brought about through Adam and Eve's sin and also could be from the parents not taking care of themselves (while pregnant, or the man having defects in him, whatever). Anyhow, the point is, we are born with imperfections, others may have physical imperfections. In anycase, all imperfections will be done away with pretty soon. (Rev. 21:4). It would not be godly of any person to have sexual relations with anyone if they were married to other people or if that person was not married at all. Sex was meant to be used within a marriage (among 2 people only). As for what sex the hemaphrodites could marry, it would not be fair to the other partner if they weren't told what kind of "defect" that person had. I guess since there's surgery, then that person would have to make a decision what sex it would be (but I'm not too sure of how that works, so don't quote me on it). As for homosexual bugs, God did not create anything imperfect. Imperfection and the balance of the creation became unbalanced due to Adam and Eve's sinning. For more info on this, if you seriously want a serious answer then I suggest you go to the source listed below.

Christianity, like all other religions, is manmade and is a product of the time and place in which it first developed. The books of the Bible were written long before science came into existence, and their content reflects this. And not only that, but there are also historical inaccuracies in the Bible. If I remember correctly, I believe it is the Book of Daniel that makes mention of the Persian conquest of Babylon. The Bible gives the name of the Persian king at the time of the conquest as being Darius, but it was actually Cyrus. I mention this, because it disproves the Bible's inerrancy. I'm not saying that the Bible (or any other religious text, for that matter) isn't divinely inspired. I believe that all religious texts are inspired by their authors' CONCEPTS of deity, much in the same way that poetry and paintings have been inspired by beautiful women and sunsets. However, as I said before, all religions and religious texts were created by MEN.
It's interesting that you should include the example of bedbugs. I also once read an article about homosexuality in tsetse flies. It's also been found in sperm whales, dogs, and cats. If that's the case, isn't it a clear indication that homosexuality is a naturally occurring phenomenon in the animal kingdom? Oh, but that's right! Some Christian fundamentalists would prefer to not believe that human beings are animals! That's why they're scared s**tless by Darwin's theory and why they're fighting tooth and nail to get the "intelligent design" theory taught in the schools.

Humans are not animals so what animals do is irrelevant to what is good or not good for humans to do. Hermaphrodites are babies with genetic abnormalities, this also is irrelevant to the issue of whether homosexual sex is right or wrong; or a sin or not a sin. I presume that you are an active homosexual and want Christians to approve of your behavior. Just because Bible believing Christians recognize that homosexual sex is a sin, doesn't mean that we don't love you as a person! The Bible says that all men (and women) are sinners. In the book of the apostle James, he states that, "if we say we are without sin, we are a liar. But if we confess our sin, then God is righteous and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness".
God bless you.

From the Christian Faith pov... God made mankind as he wanted to. Mankind had eternal life and was perfect and without sin. BUT... mankind disobayed God and sin was let loose on man. That brought all manner of bad crap to happen to mankind. This includes birth defects. Which are from genetic defect. This explains the gender abnormalities.
In todays culture the genetic sex of an individual can be determined even if the genitalia is non specific... If a hermaphrodite marries they must be faithful, from a Christian Faith pov, just like any one else.
Animals are not under God's Law as is mankind... They may or may not interact sexualy with out regard to gender... it just is not a
thing that is a correlation with any thing human. God's Law applies only to mankind. Animals do not have an eternal soul so there is no need to be concerned about "sin" with regard to them.
I accept email questions from honest seekers concerning the Christian Faith.

Regardless of what the other people say to you here, I think you've asked a very good question. But, first, I think it is important to separate yourself (or humans, in general) from bedbugs.
Secondly, I think that hermaphrodites aren't subject to the same laws of judgment as the rest of us are. God is perfectly sound in His judgment. If everything were cut and dried, there would be no need for judgment. Understand? Sin is born in your heart, not in a sex organ.
As, far as homosexuality is concerned, and take it from someone who knows what he's talking about...it's a sin, simply put. No matter how "natural" it may feel, no matter how normal it may seem to you, it is a lie straight from Hell.
It isn't even remotely easy to give it up, but it gets easier as you go. Eternal life with Jesus is more important than few rolls in the hay here.
Also, just because you give up sex with one gender, there's no rule you have to take up another. If you decide to get rid of your dog, are you expected to rush out and get a cat?

I can answer your hermaphrodite question. A person who is a hermaphrodite is born physically with both male and female genitals, but genetically they are only one sex. Genetically, a person can only be 'XX' (female) or 'XY' (male). And I think more often than not, it is apparent which genitals are more dominant-which ones are better developed. I think DNA testing should be done, since it is available now, on any baby when it is first born if it is unclear as to the baby's sex. Then you can know for sure which it really is, and remove the wrong set of genitals. Even if the "wrong" set of genitals is not removed, I think the person's true sex should be known, and then they should only marry a person of the opposite sex, according to Biblical scripture and Chrsitian ideals based on scripture.
"Hermaphrodite" in its true sense (that is, able to produce both eggs and sperms) does not occur in humans;"

Most people who are intersex prefer that term as opposed to hermaphrodite. Please don't be so flippant with that particular question, as I'm sure it must be extremely difficult for those who are intersex; many have had a rough time. Let's leave them alone, unless you have something constructive to say. I am a Christian, and I don't know the answer, but I do know that it isn't their fault that they are intersex; they were born that way. I don't think they would be sinning if they had sex with their spouse. How could they be?

Do you know what a parisitic twin is? It is when a set of twins stop developing at a point in the womb, and are joined together as one baby. The baby may have an extra set of arms, or an extra head and no body, or in the case of a hermorphedyte, extra pair of genitailia.
It is the death of a second baby before it was able to be separated in the womb, where the body did not finish absorbing the dead baby.
Animal are not activly homosexual. they just act out because they are animals. The other questions are not revelent, they are insects and have to brains to control what they do. Try to understand that we are not entitled to answeres to all of our questions. God will allows us to know what he wants us to know and when and if He wants us to know them. He is in complete control of those who accept Him and His son Jesus.

Animals are not free moral agents; humans are.
I don't know why bed bugs act that way (if they really do) but they do suck blood from anyone sleeping on the bed. Do you think humans should also do that just because the BED BUGS do so??!! Some logic, just to justify homosexuality.

It pleases me to know that while the rest of the world presses forward into the future, moving proudly towards the goals of the greatest race in the Universe, the Sentient race....... you'll be wallowing in the filth that is the trap of your mind. If you ask me, that should be punishment enough for a life spent cultivating such ignorance (lord knows your moother thought it was a punishment).
