Okay. So on the first note, God tells you to sacrifice/eat and kill animals, right? Well isn't killing a sin? And if someone commits incest or has sex with someone of the same gender, they must be put to death. But isn't killing a sin? On another note, God loves everyone, right? Oh yeah, except for that 15% of the world that are homosexuals, prostitutes, and animals (cuz he tells you to kill them). So, God DOESN'T love everyone. If you commit incest or have sex with someone of the same gender, you are supposed to be put to death. But God says if you ask for forgiveness, you'll be forgiven. But who cares if you're forgiven if you're still supposed to be frickin killed. So technically, if you are killed before you ask for forgiveness, then that makes God a big fat hairy hippocrite, along with all of these other reasons. Now someone, please tell me what you think about all of these little theories that I have, cuz, oh I got loooooooots more, but I don't have enough space left. :P

And by the way, people, killing IS murder. Why should people be allowed to kill animals, but not people? People are animals, duh.

And if you can kill animals and eat them, what's wrong with killing humans and eating them? Becuase God is prejudiced against animals and thinks they are inferior to humans. That's BS.

Excuse me, the first 13 years of ymlife I went to church twice a week, so don't tell me I don't know anything about the bible, my family pushes it on me to know it. And human ARE animals, so you're saying that humans don't hjave souls either. I mean HELLLLLLO! Human and animals are in the same phylum, does that mean nothing to you people?

By the way, all you christian who eat meat are supporting the murder of them, which is a sin. So y'all better pray for forgiveness. And on that note, people killing people has its reasons, too. So murder has reasons, not just killing.

When the bible talks about killing animals as a sacrifice in the old testament, God instituted this practice as a means of atonement for the sins of the people ( this was a foreshadowing of the death and sacrifice of Jesus for the sins of the world)--this was pleasing to God at that time because the whole purpose of it was for the good of His people. God instituted the 10 commandments and they are perfect and without a flaw-i think you would agree with that. When He said "thou shall not murder" this means you shall not kill with PREMEDITATED MALICE, which is a big difference compared to killing with a malicious intent.
When God ordered that if any of the people of Isreal commited incest, homosexuality, etc. be put to death, He did not viewed this as sin but as a way of keeping morality and not allowing that sin to spread among the people because He knew that was not healthy and helpful for them nor for His plans for them.
God DOES love every one of us who are sinners, from liars, to homosexuals, to the most evil person on the face of this earth. If He doesn't, He would have never bother to come as a man ( Jesus ) to die and take it upon Himself OUR sins; that's what the bible refers to as the grace of God, the BEST free, undeserving gift anyone can ever get.
God DOES NOT order Christians to hate, judge nor to murder homosexuals because we have to remember that we are sinners saved by grace. God's "arms" are extended out to all and when a person who is homosexual accepts Jesus Christ as savior, that person is supposed to strive to live and become more like Christ each day-they need to put on "the new man" and live according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh, and this can only be done through the help of the Holy Spirit.
Since we are now living under grace( the new covenant), the statutes institued by God in the old testament (the old covenant) becamed nulled. Today, they are no animal sacrifices for atoning of sins nor is killing of those who practice incest, homosexuality allowed. So, God is not a big, hairy hippocrite like you said, He is the opposite-a big, loving God who only wants the best for us. Now, all of this won't make any sense to you if you don't read the bible and ask God for understanding. If you have any more questions I ask you to email me at heavencallingu2@aol.com. May God Bless You and I'll pray for you to get understanding!

First of all, let me just say that God didn't tell you anything. Human interpretation has created a book that you live your life by - that has told you thus and such.

According to that book, everything on earth is here for your subsistance, so eating meat is not actually considered murder (though perhaps it should be) - meat is considered subsistance, survival of the fitest, life at the top of the food chain (something also reinforced by science).

The same book that seems to say that gays are wrong says that the voice who says so created everything and is infallible - one of these things must be wrong.

You know I have been searching into this question for 20 years, easy. I was born christian, then told I was jewish at a re-marriage, blah, blah, blah.

Here's what I see:

There is a universal energy that animates us - right? Science can combine our ingredients, but can not make us walk and talk - on the Universal Energy that seems to be flowing through us, every plant, even the planet seems alive with this energy - how else can you explain it?

It might sound crazy, but I truly believe that we are energy beings using this existence to understand things we could not otherwise understand. To interact in a way that energy beings just can't do.

I think we come here for a reason, with friends, to learn something - something that can only be learned here. I think we do it over and over again - it's sort of our own little holodeck program. When it gets boring or we have learned our lesson, we leave (using our death myths to head home) to return to our natural energy state - to return to god (that is where people get tripped up I think.)

God is not a person, God is us - it is our very essence, for we are all "children of god". God is all of us - the energy that creates and powers this world, that we use for study. People think it's a father because it doesn't want to let us go without a connection - a way to send money as it were. And that is true. We are at all times connected with home - with god - though our thoughts and emotions. Whatever we dwell on that's what we get. Haven't you noticed Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay all saying the same things. It's nothing more than prayer or meditation - we just need to be sure we concentrate on the positive, so we are asking home office to send more of th same.

Honestly - there is so much more. We need to think for ourselves. We need to decide what makes sense to us. I mean why spend all this energy to animate us, have us walk and talk and think and learn and grow, only to rot in a box by the time we finally catch on.

I could go on and on too - maybe we should do it off line. There are so many options - and if god is really all that (the loving father he is proported to be) there should be no problem with us theorizing and exploring, right? email me if you want and we can im in real time if you are interested.

Peace!

You're VERY mixed up.
Murder is a sin, not killing.
Sexual immorality is a sin, not being homosexual or a prostitute.
It's the act, not the classification. God loves each and every one of them. Carrying out justice by death is still not murder, it's the punishment. Murder is to kill without cause.
You must do more than just ask forgiveness, at the point of repentance, you must turn from all sins which true repentance causes naturally.
Post more so we can help you understand better.
I used to think much like you. I learned the real truth and it's really easy to grasp.

there is a difference between killing and murder. the commandment says do not murder (or at least should be translated as do not murder).

God required animal sacrifices because sin MUST be paid with death. That is why people who sinned went to hell. With animal sacrifices, Jews would place their sins on a spotless animal and it would be killed.

God loves everyone, but does not like sin. Everyone is sinful, not just 15% of people.

BTW killing isnt murder, murder is killing without reason. God can kill, because God can bring someone back to life. According to the Bible, people arent animals

Without using wisdom, you won't be able to understand any of what you're asking.Of course, God is not a hypocrite. That would be impossible in itself. God doesn't hate anyone. Not one single person, and don't you forget that. But He does hate the sin.
You're also confusing the old and new testament. Jesus fulfilled every law by living a perfect and sinless life. So, we are no longer under the law. I would recommend that you read Romans chapters 6, 7, and 8. It is really explained very well.
Day 2: No, I am not wrong...Mary was concieved by the Holy Sprit, Who is without sin, and since Mary was a virgin. she was still pure. Jesus was NOT born into sin.

No, although God needs no defense, the sacrificing etc that you refer to took place before a time of atonement. That "behavior" was a big part of the culture during that time period. Yes, killing is a sin, hence the 10 commandments. God's wrath was much stronger prior to Jesus Christ coming to die for us. There is no love greater than to sacrifice your only Son so that we could all be saved and allowed to speak about what we do in situations like these. Jesus died so we could be free. And, God is no killer, yes, he does love everyone. You are referring much about the old testament. And, it is just that. The "old" testament. Please read the New testament, and you will understand the love, grace, and forgiveness that Jesus speaks of along with all of the promises he has made good on and will continue to do so. Once you read the new testament, you will have a much greater appreciation of the old testament because you will understand how things could have turned out but did not because Jesus came to save us, and that is how much God loves us. That he would bring us a Savior who happens to be His only son who died so we could live. That is true love: no hatred, no killing, no condemnation. Not for me, and not for you. He loves you as much as he loves me and everyone else. He is not a respector of persons. He treats everyone the same. And God is not angry for you asking this: He is most likely very, very proud of you for your questions. Great question! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

in the OT, murdering was a sin you are correct. but Killing, like the jews did, you know, they stoned people....they stoned them to death for a reason. and thats what the original meaning is, killing for a reason is not wrong or all those jews would be dead too. because did the jews not kill the sinner when he stoned him to death? if someone killed someone on accident in the OT, they would flee to safe cities because the jews could find no reason to stone them..... we do not practice stoning ppl today for there sins. Why? because we have a sacrifice for our sins, the wages of sin is death, the Jews in the OT had no sacrifice, the gentiles had no hope because they werent jewish, and now we can all be saved.God is Not a hypocrite, read the bible b4 you spew crap God's way

If you would actually READ a BIBLE instead of someboy else's comments, then it would make sense to you. God says we can kill animals for food because He puts human life ahead of animal life. OK? He says we may not MURDER (the term used in the 10 commandments) people. Got it? God gives government the right to kill evil peolpe in order to protect society from gangsters, terrorist, ect. Do you want to disarm the police? Or the Armed forces? Got It? God puts laws into place to protect marriage( ! man 2 ! woman ) because any society that destroys marriage crumbles. This is historical fact. This is loving indeed to the innocent children who are always hurt by their parents' stupid behavior.

Animals don't have a soul. They were provided to us FOR food, it says so at the very start of the bible, no hypocrisy there.

God loves everyone, even the homosexuals and prostitutes, just doesn't like what they do. No hypocrisy there.

You can think so if you want, but there are no contradictions for what you mentioned.

And spell check is a tool Yahoo uses, so maybe you should take advantage of it. Hypocrite, not hippocrite.

I have two things to say.

I think you already decided what you want to believe and you want other people to agree with you. I don't agree with the fact taht you're asking a question that you've already answered and then insult somoene you very well know some of us believe in. If you believe he's a hipocrite than so be it. Its your choice. But don't drag others to believe what you want to believe.

And just so you know. God loves everyone, he didn't come to earth to save the ones who believed, he came to get the ones who were wrong do-ers. Paul-killed christians, mary magdalin was a wife of 7 different men, and there's others. But they asked for forgiveness and "changed the way the lived" so they were forgiven and were able to join him.

Oh and murdering and killing isn't the same thing. Killing with intention to eat isn't murdering for revenge or evil or so forth...

Just to let you know...i think you're being a hipocrite. I think you say one thing but honestly believe another...no offense...
