I want that bone straight look you see on some metalheads, LOL
I'm not willing to iron it or use a blowdrier (the blowdrier only makes it poofier, anyway). Do you have any ideas for getting it perfectly straigh with no kinks or poofyness?

my hair is really thick, curly, and poofy... and when i use a haridryer... let's just say i have a bit of an afro!!! haha, but anyways... try using a revlon straightener... but if you don't like to use that, try putting a hair serum in ur hair after you shower, then brush it through and sleep on it... i don't know if that helps, but it works for me

My hair sounds exactly the same, except shorter. I can't think of any way to straighten it without heat though. The only way I can make it straight is by using a straightener (with heat protection, otherwise it gets puffy again). I suggest putting a serum in your hair to calm it down a bit before trying any kind of straightening. I use a mix of olive, rosemary, and jojoba oil. "Grease" your hair before you use a blowdryer so the air blows the oils away without adding any poof.

A good straightener would work wonders and you can put a heat serum on it so it won't damage your hair.

However, if you don't like the idea of that there are many serums and gels out there that could help you. I would just go to Wal-Mart and read the back of [many] bottles to find something that could help.

Good luck!

I use the style thingy from pantene... It's called comb-in treatment. I just have to apply it to my hair after I wash and towel-dry it. It works well for me.
Oh and if I have to blowdry it - like in winter - I use the cold air not the hot one. So my hair don't go all puffy.

Most products don't work. A good quality straightener works great. It hasn't damaged my hair.
