For that matter, why can't they be bothered to put their kids in car seats?

Great question. I live in the Rio Grande Valley, Most and I do mean MOST of the Mexican's whether illegal, or legal, or just here for a visit(lol) are driving around on the same streets and highways as the rest of us, they seem to cause most of the accidents, hit and runs, vehicular manslaughter, etc. yet the are allowed to drive around in vehicles that first of all cannot not pass state and federal inspections, are not registered, and most of all not Insured. Why are they getting away with it?? If I tried, I would be fined, jailed, or whatever. They are putting me and my family and every other law abiding citizens lives in danger every time they get behind to wheel with their kids jumping all around the car and over the seats, hanging out the windows, music blaring, talking on the phone, while they are eating, not paying attention to stops, school zones, lights, slowing traffic, or anything else happening around them. It makes me sick!!! And who pays for it when they cause an accident?? You and Me!!!
Sorry to ramble, this is a touchy subject with me. Have a great day!!!!

They justify everything else with poverty, and this will be no different. I am American and I wish a was as poor as some of the illegals in my neighborhood claim to be while they buy new cars, and fix up their homes.
And, almost every American I know has two jobs just to get a 40hr week at $5.15 an hour, with no benefits. Americans are not lazy, and many used to work on the farms, until their jobs were given to migrant workers to try and help Mexico build it's country's wealth. Poor Americans will scrub your toliets, mow your grass, paint your house, or roof it. Poor Americans will work in the fields, but they are turned away without ever being asked if they would be willing to work for the same wages. Most would. Where I live in Texas, it's mostly white boys bringing in the cotton, not Mexicans. All the illegals are using programs that have been set for them by the State of Texas which break our federal laws, on aiding them. These programs are put into place by illegal voters using stolen American ids, then they open up a business, and not pay the taxes, leaving the bill to the person whose id was stolen..

Probably the same way that legal residents justify driving without insurance or putting their kids in car seats or driving drunk, etc. Is it worse that they are breaking the law just because they are illegal aliens? Why don't we just ask why does ANY person in America break the rules/laws...

All of these previous answers seem so ignorant. For your information, nobody will give them insurance without a license. They must get around somehow. If only the U. S. wouldn't give them such a hard time to get their papers, then they would do things the right way. All of our ancestors were immigrants in this country at one time, it is what America is all about. They came here looking for a better life and it is unfair to stereotype them and judge them when you don't know the struggle they are going through everyday. Please people THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!

I am a Legal American and where do you get these "facts" from? Please provide us with your sources, I bet you have none! Once again THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK! Do a little research first instead of just looking stupid saying things you don't even know are correct.

Simple. They follow the laws they agree with, disregard the ones they don't. Certain members of Congress and a minority of idiots have told them they are above the law because they came from poor countries. So I guess all those poor people from New Orleans can do whatever the heck they want too? Come on all you people from trailer parks, ghettos, and projects! You are poor, the laws don't apply to you! It is a free for all!! Mendi- I live on the border and it is a common warning around here that many people from Mexico do not carry insurance!!!

They're illegal aliens. If they break one law so fragrantly, what makes you think they have any conscience against breaking any other law. Insurance? Why do they need it? Their driver's liscense will come back to someone else, so will their social security number. So what do they have to lose by breaking the law? NOTHING. But they get to save the money it would've cost them to follow the law. As for the kids in seatbelts? I think it's already been demonstrated that they only care about themselves. Why should they care any more for their own children?

Want to hear a funny story that relates to your question?
In Georgia, my father was hit in a car accident by an illegal immigrant who had no license. The weird thing is that he had car insurance....
In Georgia, apparently you can get car insurance without owning a license or a social security number...

They don't try to justify anything. They just blatantly disregard all of our laws that they don't wish to obey. It seems to me that only illegal Mexicans and politicians can get away with it. Usually illegal Mexicans here get by with whatever they do, unless it's a rape or murder and in those cases they ALWAYS run back to Mexico like cowards- anything to avoid prosecution. It's not a cultural thing, it's a lifestyle with them.

I always say that they begin as criminals once they set their sorry asses across the border line and they continue once they get here. Why should they respect any of our other laws?
