O+ 39%
A+ comes in second at 34%
O+ can be used for all the other + blood types.
Only 7% of the population has O- but it can be used for all blood types.
Donations go down in the summer months because of vacation travel ...so now is great time to donate blood and save a life.
All blood types are appreciated and needed but O- and B- blood types are especially needed now.

It is very difficult to give you an exact # for the "most common blood type " because "in different parts of the world, the # of individuals with blood type A, B, O, or AB differs",
O+ is the most common in the U.S., followed closely by A+.
Problably O+ & A+ are probably the 2 most common blood types on average worldwide too.

O + is the most common blood type ( Also known as the universal doner blood type) ...meaning they can donate to anyone... of any blood type.
and if you were wondering
the rarest is AB+ ( which is the universal recipient blood donor) (they can recieve blood form any blood type ) but they can only donate blood to another person who is AB+
hope this helps
