We don't allow Mexicans to join our military and die for this country. We only allow Americans to join.
If you want to be a politically correct pansy, we could say Mexican-Americans. But that points out another problem...people that refuse to buy into American culture and become Americans.
They come here but cling to their old nationality. America is a melting pot and true Americans embrace other cultures and traditions. But be careful not to "throw the baby out with the bath water". They come here because America is great, so don't let them try to completely destroy it and make it Mexico or El Salvador, or Iran or anywhere else.
Early immigrants came here, worked hard, and added to this country. But they also learned English and became Americans.
Another Example:
Other languages should add flair and culture to America, but the official language should be English and all IRS and government forms should ONLY be in English. Some of you will say that is a racist comment, but show me any other country that prints Gov forms or say their election ballots in English as well as their language.
My Conjecture:
If that is a racist statement, then I'd bet 90% of all other countries are racist. There are a handful of countries with multiple "national" languages but they also have in-fighting and some are screwed up or on the verge of civil war because they continually struggle to divide the country on their former nationalities.
Signed:
Master Sergeant, USAF and American Indian
P.S. I can't claim American Indian on gov forms, because racism made my grandfather try to hide our Indian background and so he never discussed it openly. So since I can't prove which tribe we are from, I can't legally claim it. There is no set skin color or distinguishing trait (like all the rest of the "minorities") that proves you are Indian.

You cannot debate such an issue with anger and idiocracy. Those Mexicans who died for our country were citizens, and I personally am grateful to them, but that doesn't mean that all Mexicans can come to our country as they wish, they must go through proper immigration and naturalization process. Immunizations, background checks, and you know, have the ability to answer a job application in english. Your rant, like many others, is of racism.......when are you people going to get a clue and be somewhat reasonable about this issue......It's not about race or even the Mexican people, for crying out loud!!!!! It's about sheer numbers coming here, and the drain on all our schools, economy, health and welfare systems!!!! The illegals don't pay for it....GET IT....American citizens do!!!
As for the American Indians, I for one am not going to feel responsible for taking their land some 300 years ago just like I'm not responsible for slavery in this country 150 years ago. The Indians have their own Nation with in this Nation, and have land and benefits that natural citizens don't even have. Plus not to mention that the American Indians have fought and died for this country bravely, with honor and were proud for doing it....They were the inspiration for "Home of the Brave!"
Do you think Mexicans were the first to inhabit Mexico? No they were not..It was the Aztecs and Olmecs....What happened to them, Were they wiped out, forced out, or were they given their own land and nation? I'll tell ya....They were wiped out completely......That's what happened to their native inhabitants.............Read it for yourself.

Don't forget the millions of white people that have fought and died for this country and built this country and wrote the constitution and the laws of this nation, and brought it in to being the United States of America. They have been fighting for this country long before their was a Mexican that fought for it.

That's fine. Serving the country is one way to get legal citizenship. There are other ways to be a legal citizen. Other than that, it's illegal and against the law like it has always been. There are many people in America who are from other countries and they became legal citizens by going through a process. Serving the U.S. military is one way to do it.

see u post a question and say what they want to hear, a wall. put when you start saying about a memorial, which is really smart because its not like they never did any thing for this country. people here start showing they're hatred calling you stupid all kinds of names.they don't want to face the fact that these people are not as bad as they think.and then they ask why we call them racist and cold hearted.

Yes, I can see that happening, I've heard of other fences and walls having memorials on the Mexican side.
Unfortuantely, when people here are commiting a crime we celebrate them too.
But it doesn't change anything, and it shouldn't.
