Yes I tip. At Sonic, I always tip an extra $1.00, my hair sytlest I tip and extra buck and at Christmas I always pay double the price that I normally pay as a Christmas bonus/tip. At most restaurants, I tip according to service. Usually 10% is the lowest if the service was not that good. I tip all the way up to 25%, if the service is flawless. Usually the flawless service is received at the higher end restaurants like Three Forks, Abacus, Jasper's, Stephen Pyles, and George. All of these are upscale 5 star restaurants in the Dallas, Texas area. If I am at a buffet, I only tip about 5% if they earn it--and they usually do not. The staff at a buffet restaurant is a bit lazy I have noticed.
I always tip the valet parking attendant between $5 and $8 for fetching my car and the cloak attendant $3 if he takes my coat at the restaurant. Additionally, if I travel, I tip the taxi cab drive 15% of the total fare, sometimes more if I have lots of luggage.
If it is raining and the sacker at the grocery store takes my bags of groceries to the car, I usually tip between $3 and $5 depneding on how many bags I had.
I tip pizza delivery about $5 if they arrive fairly quickly, but after 25 minutes, I start subtracting.
I hope this helps.

I only tip if they have done a good job. I tip the Chinese delivery guy because he has to climb a flight of stairs to my place. But I don't tip him so much if it has been over an hour since I ordered. If the waiter/waitress was attentive and friendly then I leave a good tip. If not I don't tip at all. If I have luggage and the taxi man helps me with it then I give a good tip. If the taxi driver tries to chat me up then I don't tip him. I sometimes let the bus driver keep the change. If the hairdresser does a good job then I will give a good tip. If she has had too many chats with her work mates and left me waiting then I won't tip. Approx 20% or a little more is my average. I guess each time is different.

I tip depending on the service. If I feel it is crappy service...I mean, really bad service, I will say that I generally do around 12%. If it is so-so service, I'll do about 15%. If its really good service, I'll do 20 - 25%. I try to be at least decent, knowing these people make most of their money off of tips.
For things like hair dressers, I try to think of some tip that will around it to a near something...For example, if I paid $22 for a hair cut, I may tip around $25. I'm not as generous with hair dressers unless there's one I've known for awhile.

I tip very well 20 to 30%, for most services. But, that is mainly because I have a child that works in the food service industry and I know how little they make hourly. But, I also will not tip more than 25 cents if the service was terrible, because it I don't leave anything they will think that I'm cheap, a quarter tells them what I think of their service.

Tip = To Insure Prompt Service.
If i get prompt, awesome service, wherever I am, I give one helluva tip. Car hops who hustle and smile big get a tip. hair dressers who do a darn good job get a tip. Bar people who make me laugh get a tip. Waiters and waitresses who work hard get a tip.
I do NOT throw money in a jar for a pimple faced jack *** behind a counter in a coffee shop that hasn't done anything but say "umm can I help you."

I tip at LEAST 15% at restaurants that includes places like sonic.
When I get my hair done, I tip at least $5.
When I stay in a hotel, I leave at least $3 tip for the maid.
I probably tip other people but I just can't think of them right now.

If you think that you ought to be tipping someone, then you should. 20% is standard and anything less than that makes you look like a cheapskate.
I tip salesmen/women that do a particularly good job helping me, I tip my stylist, my manicurist, baristas, servers, valets, etc. If someone is providing you with a service, it is usually acceptable to tip them. Hardly anyone will ever turn down a tip and 90% of the time they will remember you the next time and you will get better service than someone who does not tip.

In Australia, tipping is not mandatory so we tip on the basis of how good the food and service was. TIP means 'to insure promptness'. I find it interesting that in America, tips are given no matter how bad the service or food.

I tip, soley because it is ethical to do so. I love to eat and dine at certain resturants but I know it takes alot to deal with some of the rudest customers and maintain some kind of work ethic. You can get more with sugar than you can with salt. Especially if you frequent a paticular place.

yes, i tip. you should tip, the normal rate is 15% for good service. i will go up to 20% for wow service and as low as 5-10% for not so great service. bad service that is truly the service providers fault, i will not tip at all. you should tip waiters, delivery people, bartenders, hairdressers, massage techs, nail techs, car wash attendents, full service gas workers, cab drivers, limo drivers, dog groomers, etc.
