Was 13 years old, spent 3 months in
Sugar Hill, Franconia, New Hampshire with my mother (she worked at the Sunset Hill House as a bookeeper). I went out into the woods every day walking everywhere! It was great. Free of problems.

Turned age 18, got married, took my wife back to New Hampshire on our honeymoon. Drove up to Sunset Hill House, and found it had burned to the ground the DAY BEFORE!

Learned then, sometimes - LIFE SUCKS!

My dad used to work all the hours god sent to provide our yearly holdiay, one year dad couldnt get the time off work, so he drove me, mum and my brothers down to cornwall for a 2 week hol while he carried on working.

Best ever day was when dad turned up sudenly on the beach - just for the weekend, just to be with us. It was a 4 hour drive, and he worked 12 hour shifts, so he must have been knackered, but he did it to be with all of us.

I will never forget how happy i was when I saw him coming along the beach. he was such a family orientated man, a great dad, and I miss him every day.

mine was when we went down to see my family from my dads dside down in Arkansaw, and we were staying in my mamaws house, and i was maybe 4/5 and i had fallen asleep on the couch and i woke up in my mamaws bed, and she was sitting at the table in the living room drinking i think cofee and she said good moring, and then she said a little bit after that that she had carryed me into her room.
thats actually the only memory of her i have, after my dad stoped calling, sending cards or anything, then we just kinda split, it was like the only family i had was from my moms side of the family, but for some reason i remember that, and i remember it so well,

Throwin my bright red, leather shoes at my mum, in a strop because I didn't want to get off the bus.

Crackin shot, full length of the bus, on the back of the head. I was only 3!

Couldn't do that now if I tried!

Sliding down the embankment in my street on a piece of
cardboard with all the street kids.

(Didn't think too much about the grass stains that mum
would have to wash out and mum never complained)

Listening to my dad's bedtime stories. He would make up the best stories that always had a cliff hanger. We'd have to wait until the next night to find out what happened.

my mother's sister was a strong christian and she always said that i would go to hell because i was a naughty child and also because i played pranks to people at church. and she also found faut in everything i did and favored my older sister. one day i got so mad that i called her on the phone, i disguised my voice and cussed her with all the bad words i knew. when i was satisfied, i hanged up the phone. about three hours later, my mom called me downstairs and her sister was with her. they figured out that it was me who said those rootten things to my mother's sister because i didn't do a good job of disguising my voice. my mom made me go to her sister's house every weekend for two months to do chores. by the way, this happened when i was ten years old.

Winning $200 at the track. Unfortunately my relatives made me split it with them, which kind of takes away from it, but I still got to keep $50.

I wish I hadn't overdone it with the recreational drugs.. Then maybe I would be able to remember my childhood.
