If you mean what's the way to forget about someone's death then you can't. If you mean it's because the death of a loved one is so painful and you'd rather forget, you don't forget but you learn to live with it. I hate the expression time is a healer, that's not strictly true, it depends what you do with the time to make it less painful or traumatic otherwise it remains as fresh in the mind as though it were only yesterday. You need to let all the different phases go through you to be able to move on, the loss, the anger, the sadness, the fears and finally the acceptance.
If you mean you want to forget someone's death who you wished was dead, then there's the guilt to work through and it will never let you forget no matter how hard you try. The more you try the more it will demand to be acknowledged. Healing is a long painful process but you do heal. You dont forget but you recover.

I've had to deal with the pain of losing beloved ones, from great grandparents to pets. You don't forget them, instead you look at the death in a positive way. Know that they're not suffering and with the Lord now, that you'll be reunited with them someday, and that they wouldn't want you to feel miserable. Just think of all the great times you've had together. But if you're an atheist, then I guess it's all gloom-and-doom and hopelessness.

why would you want to forget???????? Maybe you just need someone to talk to. Do you have a close friend or family member to talk to, to help you through this???????? this is part of the grieving process. sometimes a doctor will prescribe a mild tranquilizer to help calm your nerves. you need to talk about it to heal. I wish you all the best. sorry for your loss.

Go to work . It's probably the best therapy for that. The work helps get your mind onto something else.

I don't reccomend drinking to drown the pain. That will eventually make you an alchohol addict and cause you to make decisions that will ruin your life.
