A good personality trait for a performer to have is to be able to connect with the audience. Someone who is "down to earth" and never forgot who they were or where they came from. That they were once that kid who saved up all their money to buy the concert tickets and CDs of their favorite bands. A good performer is someone who gives it their all, in the studio and on stage. A good performer doesn't forget about the kids in the crowd from the front to the back. That's what makes a good perfomer.

You have gotten great answers. Add this - always be over prepared and know and practice more than you need. I know this is an opera reference, but the point applies to anyone: I have been in several auditions where people have ask me questions about music history, who sounded really good singing this in the past ten years, etc.. Always know that stuff. Not really a trait, just advice.

As I'm a DJ, In the performing, I should pay attention to my mixing. I shouldn't talk too much with punters and also I shouldn't take request. But I have to entertain them and make them happy,and this is your art how to do that.

A performer should be a perfectionist, a people person, and thick skinned. They shouldn't care too much what other people think but be confident in their own opinion.

i would say someone who is cooperative, and individualistic without standing too far out from the crowd. the kind of individualism that others want to aspire to.
